   Service was fine - what you’d expect from a busy tourist destination. Food was pricey and not great - especially for the price (but again, paying for the location mostly). The steak frites are not “frites” — it’s a steak (and very fatty) with fries. Award-winning clam chowder was just ok in humble opinion of this New Englander. Celtics & Bruins were both playing yet we had to ask multiple times to get it on a big screen. Meanwhile The Family Guy was steaming several TVs (odd for a bar when there were local games to watch). Given that we didn’t even have alcoholic beverages (just me with 3 kids) — the bill with tip was $185 which is way too much to spend on a few apps and one fake steak frites. All in all, the location was great (right in Faneuil Hall) & it’s a fun festive atmosphere. Server was nice just slow service and forgot our beverages. Wouldn’t return unless no other options.

   Excellent clam chowder! Seasonal (winter) Sam Adam’s beer and Mac & Cheese are great as well!

   We arrived for our reservation and told our host we were able to stay for 1 hr and if that was enough time for food prep and eat time. Host checked with kitchen and we were seated, waited on, received our lunch which was SO good and checked out. Appreciated how our waitress took care of us-party of 6 from a tour bus! We had fish and chips and lobster rolls. Everything was hot and tasty. We enjoyed our time there!

   We went for a late lunch early dinner. We read abt the chowder so we each got a bowl. The chowder was good but it was confusing because it had crab in it along with clams. It’s clam chowder put more clams in! The rest of the menu was ok. We didn’t see anything of interest so we left & went somewhere else. It was nice sitting outside.

   The clam chowder was fabulous, which is what we came for but the service was mediocre at best, and they were not even full. The mains came at the same time as the soups so once we got to them the fries were cold, and it took the server far too long to get us simple things like spoons for our food.

   We dined outside for brunch and a DJ was there along with a large screen to watch the Olympics. It was great! There was something to eat for everyone and all thought the food was wonderful. Service was fantastic, didn’t have to ask for second beverages, or water. The server brought them automatically. Highly recommend!

   Nicely located, and the outdoor seating is enjoyable. The food was alright; typical bar fare. We got the ned burger and chicken sandwich and they were filling.
