Opened in April 2024 by a family that has been operating restaurants in and around Old Town for almost 50 years. Located in the heart of Old Town, Mystic has a diverse menu featuring Texas style smoked brisket, baby rack ribs & Carolina pulled pork. Meats are smoked low & slow in BBQ champion Myron Mixon's signature smoker that is front and center in our open kitchen. BBQ is just one part of this southern centric menu that also features fresh seafood including our signature spicy she crab soup, low country shrimp & grits & creole bouillabaisse. Not to be missed is the jumbo lump crab cake sandwich, which sets the standard for all of Old Town. Specialty sandwiches & unique salads are available all day in a casual setting that features upscale but moderately priced food. Great little wine list & large selection of draft beers are also available. Don’t forget about the “bananas foster” bread pudding with vanilla bean ice cream & brown sugar rum sauce.

We were meeting out of towners and wanted to be able to hear each other. Mystic filled the bill. We did Bruch. Started with the calamari and shrimp. It was delicious but small for a party of 4. Ordered the ribs, good flavor and fell off the bone, shrimp po boy and crab cakes. Got to get a bite of everything and enjoyed it all! Ended with chocolate mousse and bread pudding, yummy.

Good BBQ at fair prices. Tender ribs and brisket, interesting cocktails. The place was pretty empty on a Fri night at 7:30 -- maybe OT's a later crowd. There isn't much in the way of ambiance (too brightly lit, lots of hard surfaces), but we were there for the food and left satisfied. Btw, we wanted to order a half order of smoked wings as an app (shown on website), but were told that was only for on-line orders. Makes no sense -- we went without and stuck to the fried oysters (delish.)

The food was very good the brisket was not dry and the pulled pork had a nice flavor. The service was ok, just had to ask a couple of times for condiments. All in all it Was very good.

This was my first time at Mystic and it was terrific. The food and beer choices were excellent. We had the shrimp and calamari appetizer which was great. The calamari were so tender and the best I've ever had. Brisket and ribs were also excellent. The servers were warm and so terrific. Mystic is a gem and I will definitely be back.

The sliders were so tasty. Crab cake with lump crab meat with no fillers. Had a wonderful meal and the staff were friendly. Will definitely go back.
