We attended for the Valentine’s Day 6 course set menu. It had been a while since we have been there so we were excited for a bit of a romantic evening as we remember it being previously. There seemed to have been some modifications to the dinings area as when we entered it felt very much like just going for a pub meal and not what we recall MPD being like. (Which is completely fine if that’s what you’re expecting) The food was great. The roses left on the table was lovely but the overall ambiance was off for us. When you’re paying $125pp for a set menu, I guess we just expected a bit more. The staff were all polite but we just felt a little rushed through.

We booked a set, 3 course, Valentine’s Day dinner. It exceeded expectations. The recently renovated space, coupled with attentive wait staff and excellent food made it a truly memorable evening. The food is beautifully presented and extremely tasty. The $99 per head was, in my view, excellent value and included a red rose and complimentary sparkling wine. It is part of a gaming venue and the location is not to everyone’s taste but as a suburban venue it’s a great choice.

We had the lunch special which made the meal very affordable, even though it was a discounted meal the quality was fantastic. Slight issue was that we ordered medium for the steaks, but they were still a bit on the medium rare . We still loved them though Complementary wine was delicious as well

Lovely quiet feeling at the venue. Tables far apart for privacy of conversation. Staff very attentive without being a nuisance. Service was good for both ordering and serving of meal. Food was good quality and cooked perfectly. We chose the special porterhouse steak with salad and chips - the red wine jus served on the side as requested. Drinks were served in large glasses which is unusual these days. Good value for money and we would return.

Amazing chicken wings, meat and other dishes were average. Atmosphere could do with an update. Stained chairs not good look. Overall 3 star experience at a 4 star price tag.

The food and service at MPD is always outstanding. We tend to go for lunch instead of dinner as we like the quiet atmosphere during the day. Would highly recommend eating here. It's one of our favourites.
