   It had been awhile since we visited Morton’s Grill. We were reminded of their great service when we arrived and our table was waiting for us. Our waitperson was top notch. Attentive without “hovering.” The food was outstanding! My filet was cooked to perfection as was the crab cake. The bread is a treat as well as the spicy shrimp appetizer. Finally, the wine selection was excellent. All in all, we were impressed with our experience!

   We celebrated our anniversary at Morton’s last night. From start to finish, the staff was excellent! We enjoyed the food, ambience and care they all took in helping us celebrate our milestone. Our waitress, Aubrey, was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Thanks for making our night special!

   *Update: After posting this review the GM reached out to me an personally apologized for the experience we encountered. I appreciate it and will be giving this location another shot in the near future. Even the best teams have an off night! The care and concern this manager had along with his willingness to call and truly understand my frustration speaks volumes! “Loud and hard to hear my wife. We were sat in a table tucked into a corner and was uncomfortable. Our waiter couldn’t even easily get to us because we were wedged right up against a large group. People were bumping my chair repeatedly all night as they squeezed by. It just wasn’t the experience I expected especially because it was noted on the reservation that we were celebrating my wife’s birthday. Other Steakhouses in the area like “Flemings” have much better ambiance, table layout, and service. We will not be returning to this location again. If I want a noisy experience with and uncomfortable environment there are plenty of other choices with a better value”

   We’ve been customers of The Woodlands location for 9 years, but this was a terrible experience. My 1st Dry-Aged Kansas City Strip was both overcooked in places & raw in places as if the steak had been frozen & not thawed properly. The replacement which the Manager had me cut in front of him was cold, raw, again like it had been frozen. They tried cooking it some more and it still came out raw. For the 4th attempt, I was advised to order the standard New York Strip. By the time it arrived my wife’s plate had long been cleared leaving her with a side & no plate or silverware & I had been waiting 45 minutes to eat from the time our entrees first arrived. We just wanted this nightmare to be over. The New York Strip(4th try) was cooked properly, but it was not a good quality steak. I ate several bites & asked for the rest to be boxed up. When the check came we were surprised to see that the entire meal had not been comped, as the entire dining experience was a colossal disaster, yet being regulars we remained optimistic throughout. All food and drinks were charged, even the 3rd steak, which we demanded be removed. We paid full price for our drinks, salad, and my wife’s meal & side. Our server was good, Cody the Manager was nice as always.

   Everything was perfect. Best birthday dinner I've ever had! They made it special and memorable. Definitely recommend to someone who has a special occasion to celebrate.
