Renowned for locally sourced, mouth watering steaks, Moreland's Grill is one of the best steakhouses in Dublin.

Chic and sophisticated, Moreland's Grill offers a luxury dining experience that pivots on restrained elegance. Taking many of its design cues from the Art Deco era, diners are welcomed to a polished dining hall in which a four-sided, outward-facing booth forms the centrepiece, creating a dining setup that speaks of opulence thanks to its beautiful grey leather finish. Moreland's Grill heralds classic glamour and pairs it with exquisite modern cooking.

Moreland's Grill goes above and beyond, searing Hereford beef on a 500 degrees Celsius Josper Grill for the ultimate succulent mouthful. The grill also welcomes fresh halibut and juicy beef patties whilst the saffron vegan gnocchi and risotto is a culinary treat for non-meat eaters. For dinner that excels in modern cooking and that sprinkling of pizzazz, Moreland's Grill is where all special occasions st

Very slow service for a half empty restaurant on a Saturday. Took more than 15min for the drinks to arrive. Our starters were not brought out at the same time. Food was ok, portions quite small. I thought it was overpriced for what it offered.

When in Ireland or the UK, I should not expect good steak. Like some dementia patient, I tend to periodically forget this and then I am rudely reminded of the fact that Irish, Brits and Europeans in general have no concept of what a "steakhouse" or "grill" is. Morelands misleadingly displays a picture of a bone-in ribeye, perfectly charred on a wooden block, on their advertisement pages. Online or in the hotel lift, you see these beautifully prepared steaks alongside a preposterous list of proclaimed accolades. The truth is that this establishment, like almost any other "steakhouse" on this side of The Pond are bloody awful. The ribeye that I ordered (medium rare) was so gristly and tough that my jaw gave out trying to grind that hunk of leather down into a state where it could be swallowed. The steak was completely unseasoned, was overcooked on the outside and leathery dry on the inside. The steak was not properly seared on any sort of open flame, as the outside was the colour of dung and the centre was sickly pink with no juices flowing. That is not medium rare. That is medium-ruined. I may as well have been trying to gnaw apart battleship armour. I spit the hunk of flesh into my napkin and left the entire steak uneaten. My daughter had the same problem. The striploin me missus had was passable, but then again, she is not a steak-eater. So proclaimed her steak to be as good as any that you could get at "Sizzler" in the States. For those who know what Sizzler is, this is NOT a compliment. My sons were dissatisfied with their ribeyes, but being ravenous, they choked it down. The starters were passable, but this is a failure as well. You cannot charge the prices they charge and just be passable. That is almost worse than being simply bad. Their bar cannot make a proper gin martini, their waiter barely spoke English (yes, I am being snobbish because when I am in France I do not expect my server to speak anything other than French). Rubbish. Absolute rubbish!

The food has great flavour and the portions are generous - bring an appetite. The highlight was the confit duck and monkfish on the bone. I don’t drink alcohol but the wine list was a comprehensive read with wines by the glass. The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive when required. Relaxed pace to service.
