   We live a short drive away and Molly's has become one of our favorite date-night places. It's not easy, especially in Northwest IL, to find a place where my meat-loving spouse and my vegan self can both leave a restaurant equally happy, but Molly's fits the bill. They have a seasonal menu but usually have at least one vegan option on the menu - and they really know how to cook tofu right, so if there's a tofu option get it and you won't be disappointed! The chef is often even able to whip up something special and unique that's not on the menu, like last visit when I was treated to a delicious vegan dessert as well. The service is fantastic and the ambiance perfect for date-night, meeting friends, or even families with older children (not much little -kid friendly food, although if you're raising a mini foodie they might be alright). The prices are a good value for the quality, freshness, and creativity that goes into the meal. Also really appreciate their creativity in mocktails.

   Marvelous Molly's! That is how we feel when we join them for Dinner. Walking in the door we saw Ben sitting at a round table with his dining parents such as welcoming sight. Our table was ready for us to enjoy our Teriyaki Salmon dinners with crispy brussel sprouts and well roasted sweet potatoes. YUMMY! All cooked perfectly to our choice of doneness and just the right amount of teriyaki sauce not swimming thankfully. To complement this a nice glass of wine and great service from our waitress. In addition it is nice to see a familiar waiters face and he was so kind to stop by and say HI. Can't wait to come back and enjoy another fabulous dinner with you.

   The grilled shrimp was fantastic! There’s snapper with all the sides was really tasty. I got melted butter too.

   the place is a little pricey, especially for a back water town like Mount Carrol (I live here and like it). The service and ambience are good but the dish I ordered, grilled red snapper for $35) was cooked to a rubbery consistency which I told the waiter about and he offered to get me another helping. ;the risotto was very good...the deep fried artichoke heart was very bland and the scorched raw broccoli was kind of insulting.....the plate was very blah.....no sauces....a glass of bubbly (sparking wine? the bar tendress asked) was $18

   Molly’s is our favorite restaurant in Northern Illinois and has been for years. Four of us had dinner there last night and all had another amazing experience. It began with Jim as our waiter. He is the most professional waiter we know in the US. The cocktails were creative and perfectly made. We considered only getting appetizers since we could not decide what not to get. We settled on the fries, brussels spouts, and kale salad (all gluten free!). Again, amazing in presentation and taste! Wonderful entrees and desserts finished the evening. It’s a 50-minute drive for us from Dixon, but we will go again soon.

   Tried for the first time with 2 friends to celebrate a birthday! Everything was wonderful. Drinks were so tasty. Food was unique and exquisite. The service was fabulous. We definitely plan to come back soon!
