I was so hoping for this to be a good experience, it was not. The food was sent back twice. The manager and the Chef were too busy to come over to the table to see what the problem was although I saw her literally playing with one of the servers. The greens had no smoked meat in the. Even though they advertised them as such. I never have to go back to Miss Toya’s. Everybody there had bad attitudes as if they didn’t want to be there. No thank you Toya.

This was my time visiting and it was everything that I was told it would be. The food was served at the proper temperature, it was delicious, and the portions were great. Also the staff from the front desk to the server, everyone was pleasant and professional. We had melt in your mouth oxtails, delicious fried catfish, yams, collard greens with a little kick lol, and macaroni and cheese. We also purchased bread pudding but had to take that home along with the leftover food because we were full and pleased. I look forward to returning real soon.

The food was very good which made up for uneven service. After we were seated we waited 10 minutes before our server came to take our drink and appetizer order. When our appetizers arrived before our drinks we knew we’d better order our entrees the next time our server came to the table. When my friend and I asked for refills on our drinks our server brought the wrong ones. They were nice enough but clearly not focused. Overall, the restaurant is nice but was a bit loud. We aren’t in that area much, but would be willing to try it again if ever up that way. Otherwise, even though the food was really good it’s not a destination spot that I’d drive out of my way to go too.

Margarita flight was good! Seafood eggrolls weren’t too good, they just tasted like cheese. Salmon with cajun sauce, greens, sweet potatoes were really good 9/10! Jambalaya Pasta was good 9/10! All the entrees came out hot and were seasoned well. Peach cobbler was not good to me, it was not sweet and came out cold. I would go again but try different appetizers and desserts. Presentation could have been better for the salmon entree but again it was tasty.

This was my first time dining at this restaurant. It was quite crowded. Our reservation was for 2pm ; we arrived roughly at 2:07pm. We did not get seated until 2:15 The wait staff and front desk need to learn how to communicate better.. Our waitress was fabulous! And the food was delicious!

We had hurricanes that easily rivaled Pat O's in New Orleans. As for food, we started with the barbecue shrimp and fried green tomatoes with crab. Fried green tomatoes were outstanding! Barbecue shrimp weren't quite what I get when back home in New Orleans but they were good. We ordered the shrimp and grits and the smothered pork chops for our main course. Both were so good. We finished with banana pudding and peach cobbler, which was also delicious.

Miss Toyas is a beautiful black owned establishment but the reservation was not ready when booked. I had called in advance making sure everything was set in stone because this was for an event I was hosting. We get there the table isn’t ready and the hostess says there’s nothing they can do because they were unprepared. After waiting a while we finally sit down and the waiter was really nice but not very attentive to the table of eight we had at the time. We constantly had to ask another waiter to get things for us. In regards to the food it was solid 8/10. It was good but it just came out in pieces instead of all together. Beautiful establishment but slightly unorganized.
