   My wife and I went to this Mimi's for breakfast today. Most everything was horrible. I ordered a 3 meat omelette that was crusty brown on the outside. To say it was overcooked is an understatement. I ordered fruit instead of potatoes and the fruit (Pineapple & Strawberries) was warm and sour. Pretty bad. My wife ordered two fried eggs, bacon and fruit. Eggs were a bit overcooked, brown crusty outside, 1/2 of the bacon was extremely fatty and her fruit (Cantaloupe & Strawberries) was warm, sour and the cantaloupe had a weird hot, spicy flavor to them. She sent them back and the replacements were just as bad. Then they wanted to charge an up charge to substitute the potatoes with the crappy fruit. Mimi's has gone down hill since they sold out years ago. Will not be visiting Mimi's anymore. I suggest going somewhere else to eat if you want decent food and service. One server was clearly sick and was rubbing her nose with both of her hands and then handling coffee mugs, coffee pots, silverware and other items without washing her hands. Disgusting!!!

   Chicken breast was very dry. But French onion soup is always the best.

   Food was great & considering the horrendous crowd for Thanksgiving I thought it was extremely well managed.

   We had someone with a nut allergy and the manager went out of their way to make a separate plate which was much appreciated. Lovely service over Thanksgiving.

   The food was way too salty. The Caesar salad had no croutons and the salad dress was just a spoonful in a glob. The pumpkin pie had no whip cream. We have eaten here many times before and this time the quality was a big disappointment.

   We were seated for Saturday brunch at 9:40. Service was terribly slow. One of our guests (we were treating a young couple) opened a container of cookies we had given them as a gift and ate a couple of cookies because she was hungry. At 10:30 we hadn’t yet received our food, and it only arrived after we flagged down the manager to ask him about the delay. We weren’t ever offered refills on coffee - had to get the server’s attention to request it. All in all, we left with the feeling we had been ignored. We often have Sunday brunch at the Irvine Mimi’s. Service is generally somewhat slow, but nothing like we experienced in Yorba Linda.

   We were a party of three. Wait staff did not refill our drinks or clean dirty dishes off the table until after the check was paid. We sat and talked for a few minutes before exiting the restaurant and did not ask if there was anything else they could get us.
