Mimi’s Bakehouse is a second-generation family business established in Edinburgh in 2010, when Michelle Phillips sold her family home to open a bakery café in Leith. We have gone on to build a local success story brand that gives people a ‘hug when they walk in the door’ as the original café has since doubled in size and the business has gained five more shops, a successful website selling cakes online and a concession at Archerfield Walled Garden. We also opened an industrial bakery in March 2020, out of which most online trade is produced for fulfilment. Mimi’s Bakehouse has become one of Edinburgh’s best-loved bakeries and an award-winning brand which is a well-known “feel good” place to visit, while remaining small enough to go the extra mile and try new things.

The ultimate treat! Afternoon Tea brings together the best of Mimi’s Bakehouse classics, from handmade scones with clotted cream and jam to fluffy cupcakes and nostalgic traybakes served alongside a curated list of tea from Edinburgh’s Eteaket Tea. Our award-winning Afternoon Tea experience is currently available at Mimi’s Bakehouse, Leith and Corstorphine seven days a week. Due to high levels of demand, booking is recommended. We require 48 hours for all bookings. Make it extra special with a glass of prosecco, a locally sourced gin and tonic or a speciality coffee from Edinburgh’s own Machina Coffee.

Think Afternoon Tea but with a morning twist - the perfect weekend brunch treat. Award-winning cheese scones, irresistible mini breakfast rolls, a Biscoff pancake stack, we could go on! Perfectly paired with an Eteaket tea of your choice or Machina Americano. Available on Saturdays and Sundays between 9am and 12.00pm - now that's something worth getting out of bed for! We require 48 hours notice for all bookings.

First time having the before noon tea. It was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Had to get a doggy bag. Will certainly recommend to others and will return. I was also presented with a complimentary cupcake which was a lovey touch. Again that came home with me! Great value for money

Food average, Beforenoon tea includes 2 rolls but can't have mixed, odd as cooking both bacon and sausages anyway. Biscoff pancakes tasted good but very dry, badly needed more sauce or pot of syrup or something on side. Cheese scones good as were mini cupcake and traybake. Food not great but at same time, not bad....just average. Hot chocolate and a latte were additional charge...first time I've had this when out for an Afternoon Tea or similar Morning Tea elsewhere, normally are happy to do for the non tea drinker.

Great place for a late breakfast. Loads of choice for eats and drinks. The food is freshly prepared so it's not instant but worth the short wait. The staff are fantastic. Easy payment AND you can take away a totally delicious cake. What more do you need?

Delicious food as always. This time we had an afternoon tea, which was varied, tasty and plentiful. Service was excellent and warm. One of my favourite places in Edinburgh.
