   The waitress was excellent. The food was delicious. The biggest turn off was the bathroom area. The open area sinks are uncomfortable. Totally woke idea. I would never bring children or young adults to this restaurant and expose them to that. Whoever designed that should be fired.

   I had an exceptional dining experience at Mezquite. The meal was thoughtfully prepared, with every dish showcasing outstanding flavors. The rice and beans, in particular, were a standout—perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. My partner and I were equally impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere, complemented by excellent background music that enhanced the overall ambiance. This restaurant delivers on both culinary excellence and a memorable dining environment. Highly recommended.

   The Caramelos are fantastic! These are a variation on a quesadilla, but so much more and better. Great flavor, delicious ingredients, perfectly prepared and plated. The drinks are creative and fantastic. Be sure to start with their homemade tortilla chips, served warm, and guacamole. The whole experience was outstanding, including the timely, friendly service. Bring your appetite. You won't still be hungry when you leave.

   Met here for an early birthday for my mother who lives in Oklahoma and we all enjoyed the setting and overall flavor profiles of the dishes. The pastry cart is a nice touch.

   Very skeptical when ordering flautas because a lot of places serve them with dried out chicken. Not Mezquite! Everything tasted so delicious and authentic. Am absolutely recommending!! Will be back soon.

   This was our second time here and I really wanted to like it but once again we were disappointed. First, we ordered cocktails. Two at the table ordered the Batanga. One had absolutely no Mexican coke-a pretty key ingredient. When we asked the waiter we were informed the bar was out of coke. Why make the drink then? My daughter ordered the chicken flautas. A few minutes later we learned the kitchen was out of chicken. ?? This was around 530pm so hardly the end of the dinner rush. My son did enjoy the pork and red chili sauce. The chile relleno was good but the accompanying rice was too salty to eat. The beans were more broth than bean. Finally we thought we could salvage the meal by sharing flan. Instead of a classic flan the only option was chocolate with a topping of queso fresco that tasted very bitter, almost spoiled. While we enjoy the pearl and the Pullman, sadly I don’t think we will give this one another shot.

   We had a great dinner at Mesquite! Although they were out of the barbacoa tacos at the time, we ended up ordering the Chuleta Asada and the Chile Colorado, both were amazing. They even were able to accommodate gluten & dairy free options for one of our guests! And the free chips and salsa are some of the best I’ve ever had! The margarita was amazing and fresh as well :) the waiters were also very attentive and helpful, we never ran out of chips!

    One of my families favorite places in San Antonio. The food is incredible. Mezcal and tequila selection is great.
