Established in 1987, Meson Don Felipe was the first Tapas Bar in London and we are still an independent, family-run business. You can expect great tapas and some amazing, well-priced Spanish wines, served in an authentic, relaxed atmosphere.
We have an outside terrace with heaters and umbrellas but of course, we can't promise the weather! If you book outside we can't guarantee a table inside if the weather changes.
For those unable to eat-in, we offer our famous Paellas for takeaway at lunchtime Monday-Friday.
Thank you for all your support and we look forward to welcoming you soon to this little bit of Spain in Waterloo.

I went to Meson Don Felipe a few years ago and had very nice food. However this time the food wasn’t up to the standards I could remember. I found all the food far too greasy, the padrón peppers didn’t have the typical “sal gorda”, and the “puntillitas” were as hard as rocks, plus it came with deep fried peppers? guindillas? don’t know where did they come up with this idea. The glass of Albariño was nice.

Lovely food and service as always. Can get a bit noisy with large groups but doesn’t detract from ambience.

You expect Meson Don Felipe to be busy, but you don't expect terrible service: despite having a reservation, we had to wait for a table, then a long wait to place our order, the food arrived before our drinks, and the food was "thrown at us". What a disappointment!

Better to book, people were being turned away as so busy. One couple left because their food was a long time arriving. Lovely atmosphere, good surroundings, choice of tall table or standard. Waiters were efficient, it added to busy atmosphere. Loved the opportunity for a carafe of wine. Just enough for 2 glasses each. Chocolate with the Churros was perfect!

Food was greasy and mostly slightly warm. Bread given was cold tough and stale. Overall a disappointing experience. Had to ask several times for service.

Pre-theatre meal before seeing a show at the Young Vic. The restaurant was busy and bustling but service was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the pigs’ cheeks in red wine sauce. Highly recommended.

The service was quick but unrushed. Food and wine both good.

Great food which arrived promptly. What let it down was that we had to wait 15 minutes for anyone to clear the plates. I asked for the dessert menu which was brought but then nobody came back to take our order so we just wentto the front and paid. A shame.
