Mesa Tacos and Tequila offers a lively dining experience with "fantastic" food and "amazing" drinks. Guests rave about the attentive service, especially from standout servers like Gabby and Nicholas. The atmosphere is vibrant but can get noisy. While some patrons experienced delays, many appreciate the accommodating management and creative menu options like the "3lb taco" and lobster tacos.

Overall, this place sucks. The food was decent but definitely expensive. The service was absolutely horrible. We waited 45 minutes to get our first round of drinks. Waited another 45 minutes to get our food and needed more drinks but didn’t get any for another 20 minutes after that until we were all done eating. We also ordered an appetizer of chips and salsa, guac, and queso. We got the dips but didn’t receive any chips until we got our meals. For the price we paid, the service should have been much better. It was not that busy. Our waitress only came to our table maybe 3 times and we were there for a little over 2 1/2 hours. Absolutely ridiculous. Additionally, I had made a reservation for a booth, not only did they not have booths available but we had to wait for a table to open and be cleaned to sit down. Not sure what the point of a reservation is if that’s the case.

We recently visited Mesa to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and while the food was mostly great, the experience fell short due to disappointing service and a lackluster dessert. Starting with the positives, the birria tacos were excellent, and the steak fajitas were flavorful and cooked perfectly. However, the California burrito was cold, which was a letdown. We had asked our waitress for her opinion on the chimichanga versus the crunchirrito, but instead of providing insight, she explained the dishes in a way that felt condescending and ended up suggesting the California burrito—something she admitted she had only tried. The main issue was the service. Our waitress barely came to our table, leaving us waiting in front of our food for extra plates. For dessert, we ordered the “Death Via Chocolate” milkshake to share. Unfortunately, there was no chocolate cake, so it was substituted with churro cake, which was stale. The shake itself wasn’t even a milkshake—it was just chocolate milk. What made the experience feel especially impersonal was that, despite being told it was my mom’s birthday earlier in the evening, the waitress wished us a “Happy New Year” when taking the bill, which was disappointing for a birthday celebration. While the food (for the most part) was delicious, the lack of attentiveness from the staff and the pricey dessert that didn’t live up to its hype left us feeling let down. I hope this feedback can help improve future experiences because Mesa has great potential, but the service and attention to detail need improvement.

Service was not great at all. The food was mediocre at best. Quite disappointed in our first experience there and don’t plan to return or recommend.

Such a fun evening out. Enjoyed the holiday margarita flight and the monster taco. Also, the fire show was entertaining. The noise level was perfect, super energetic vibe, but not too loud that you couldn’t converse with your table. The service was friendly, fast and attentive. Definitely returning to try more menu items. Well done Mesa!

This place was really great. The atmosphere and ambience was perfect for a birthday celebration. The service was great and food was really good including the creative desserts. Drinks were reasonably priced. They also had a flamethrower for entertainment, which was such a nice touch and we really enjoyed it. The prices were a little over the top, but the food was good amount and shareable so it kind of made up for it. This is why I gave a four star instead of five.

We all really enjoyed our dinners, the food was amazing! The Lobster tacos were fire! The pineapple margarita was delicious! In our opinion, the service was subpar. It seemed as if our waiter was distracted. We had a party of 6 and 4 people got our drinks and he admitted he totally forget, which I get but that wasn’t the only thing. We order the guacamole flight and it came out with no chips, we waited close to 10 minutes. It was just a little frustrating because tables around us with different waiters that came in after us were being served in a timely manner. We also had time for a few more drinks, but didn’t want to stick around cause we didn’t want to be waiting around for our waiter.
