   This remains a goto venue for us. Service is always good, friendly and amenable to my sense of humor. Food is always interesting as the menu changes frequently.

   We had the best dinner at Meril. Craig took outstanding care of us. He and all the other members of the team seemed genuinely happy to be there, and their positive energy was contagious. The food was delicious. We’ll be craving more of it until our next trip to New Orleans.

   From food, to service, to an amazing chef dishing out complimentary cotton candy (that’s right…cotton candy!?), this is a restaurant I’ll never forget! Couldn’t be more worth the money!

   I was so hopeful this was going to be good but it just was not. We were seated promptly and they brought water quickly but then we just sat waiting for our drink order to be taken until I asked someone for help. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time because we didn’t want to wait longer. They served the first course before the drinks were served and I had to ask again for the drinks and then they brought one and not the other and I had to call the waiter again to ask for the second drink. Sadly I never got my last course and had to get up and walk to the front and ask for the check because it seemed Like the kitchen was closing. It was just not a good experience. I worked with the late great chef Michel Richard for years as a manager with him in Santa Barbara so I know good service and food and this was not what we had hoped.

   Our second time at Meril’s. Cannot recommend it enough!! Interesting and creative menu. Mexican Street Corn the best we have ever had. Shrimp tacos, Sunday Flatbread. Service excellent. Will definitely be back.

    We had a 7:15 reservation, but arrived about 45 minutes early. They got us right in. I have celiac and the waitstaff was very attentive and knowledgeable about what menu items were safe. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
