   Schlechter Service - Personal hat Stress gemacht mit den Gängen, nicht richtig abserviert, für 150 Pfund pro Person kann man ein ausgezeichnetes Service erwarten! Essen und Ambiente war gut.

   The terrace is on 7th floor of a hotel, and a lovely guy in hotel reception gave us directions to lifts and thanked us for choosing the hotel which was very kind. Very warm greeting from lovely lady at restaurant reception. All the serving staff were lovely, we asked one of the team which balsamic vinegar was used and he went to get the bottle from the chef to show us - again, very kind. The view from the terrace is amazing - can see both shard and St Pauls. We were in the Igloo which is very special. The food we have was overall excellent - ham hock terrine, pork rib eye with eggs and ribeye steak all superb. Fish n chips was good but not on same level as the other dishes, but overall - the service, warm greetings, high quality food and excellent views = we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back

   For the price, we were disappointed with the food quality. Similarly, the cocktails were good but tiny for 15£, think juice glass with tons of ice. Also, the service was lacking. Our waiter had to be reminded to bring out water multiple times, he forgot a glass of wine, charged us for sparkling water that was never brought to the table, and was just generally inattentive.

   We were very disappointed. We had a much higher expectation for our Christmas dinner. The main course was poor; the cod was tasteless, the crab too lemony. I barely touched the food, the plate was nearly full when the waiter removed it. I thought he would have asked what was wrong, but he didn’t. The chocolate gateaux for dessert was a dark chocolate filled with mousse. Not the expected gateaux. Only after receiving the bill did they ask how dinner had been and could I express my disappointment. The view from the rooftop was also not what we had anticipated. From inside the restaurant no view over London. All in all not worth the money.

   Unfortunately our Christmas dinner wasn’t pleasant. The service was good but the food wasn’t good. All eight of us had horrible meals. All three courses were bad - My butternut squash soup had a couple chunks of Brussel sprouts in it which were not supposed to be (I was the only person to have brussel sprouts in the soup). Our turkey meals were soaked in this very strange sauce to try and disguise the dry turkey. Potatoes over cooked and dry too. Finally the desserts that came and they were also a disappointment. I would not recommend this restaurant. Sadly we paid for this disgusting meal.

   Disappointing. Had high hopes for the Christmas Eve experience in the rooftop igloo with “views of the city”. First off they called us and told us to get there half an hour early as they wanted to get staff home. Totally understandable so we arrived early to almost empty restaurant. They led us to the igloo and seated us. We had zero views of the city as promised and the seating was odd for five people too big. We asked to be switched to the cabin closer to a having view of St Paul’s Cathedral etc. the cabin for us perfectly but views still limited. They came to take out quickly and we had to order everything including dessert at that moment as the kitchen would be closing soon. We were very rushed and it was awkward. Appetizers came out very quickly. The inside of the bread rolls were frozen. They forgot two of the apps and we had to ask for them. Food was good. Not great. But good. We were brought everything so fast including the check which was brought before we even got dessert. When we reminded them we had ordered dessert they seemed very surprised/annoyed and apologized for forgetting them even though they were on the check which we had already paid . Overall it was nothing special and awkward because of the rush and I mean rush service. Not how we imagined spending Christmas Eve dinner as a family. I totally appreciate them wanting to get staff home however they should not have offered that time slot to reserve the igloo. We came from the states and this was the only dinner reservation we made to make out visit special. So overall disappointing.

   Abbiamo cenato nella “cabina”, ambiente decisamente intimo e ben riscaldato. Servizio cortese e molto efficiente. Il cibo molto buono. Forse un po’ caro ma in linea con i prezzi dei ristoranti in centro a Londra. Consigliato.

    Just had a birthday party for my wife at the Pod on the roof at Mercer’s. Excellent service and a great ambiance.
