   Our second visit. The first time was largely positive. This time it was not. The onion soup was served lukewarm, the lentil salad was bland and lacked dressing, the duck was too salty and overcooked/dry as well as a small portion. And the waiter was overly enthusiastic. We will not be returning.

   The food was amazing. The staff was SO kind! Everything was brought out in a timely manner, the waitstaff was EXTREMELY attentive and recommended things on the menu and wine. They brought out the CUTEST macaroon treat for a birthday at our table. There were maybe four other tables, and we had the most amazing evening. Absolutely will go here again!

   I genuinely need them to commit to more than 1 vegetarian or vegan friendly option on the entrees menu. I absolutely LOVE the ambience and service and the flavor of food that I can eat, I just NEED them to give us vegetarians/vegans some more options. Shocker, I don't crave gnocchi every time I wanna come to Mercat Bistro.
