Everything about our experience was great! The service was good, and all of the food(quesabirria, Mac and cheese and Coctel de camaron) and drinks were delicious! The restaurant was clean and the ambiance was very pleasant for any occasion.

We did a late lunch so about 3 o’clock and honestly, that was a perfect time to go. There were maybe 4 other tables, and we could comfortably talk without yelling.

When I tell you that this establishment was PERFECT!! I mean every bit of it, (and I would always tell you a joke, but I’ll never tell you a lie lbvs). From the moment my cousin/sister/bestie and I walked in, the hospitality (hey Paula❤️) and and the other young lady were welcoming. We were served by Lewis (aka KiKi after 10:30😉❤️😂) and he kept us lit and laughing the entire time and was so attentive and accommodating. The ambiance was so perfect and the atmosphere was so chill (perfect for a date night or girls night). The drinks and food were 100,000/10. We had the Birria tacos, elotes, crispy brussel sprouts and al pastor tacos and NOTHING disappointed our taste buds. We will definitely be returning and I absolutely encourage a visit…guaranteed to be a great experience.

Great food and service. In being there with a large group, the ambience was swanky but still had an intimate and decent noise level that worked well. Brisket tacos and pastor tacos stood out.

As a vegetarian, probably the best mexican meal I’ve ever had. The sweet potato tacos were delicious! I recommend getting a side or two because they weren’t that filling. Service a little slow but the food came out very quick. We ate her before a show at The Chicago Theater. Very noisy ambience though. It was very distracting and jarring for such a calm vibey atmosphere. I think it’s the best restaurant decor I’ve ever seen. Felt like I was living in an instagram picture. Overall I recommend this place and would love to try more of their food!

6 of us went to Mercadito on a Saturday night. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. The waitress saw to our needs and took our orders in a timely manner. She tried to explain the menu and their process of service, but because of the noise level only the couple closest to her could hear it. Evidently you will get your food when they send it, in no apparent order. Entrees come out before apps?!?! They could have fit more people in there if they had used a shoe horn. We had to mover our table to be able to sit down and then try and move it back again to sit down. Drinks were good. The food however was neither anything wonderful or something to go out of the way for. Lack of spices and wrong techniques in preparation pretty much killed it for us. The noise level is over whelming. There is no table conversation because you can't hear each other. If you are seated next to the overhead "garage" doors, take your heated under ware you will need it! No we would not go back.

Food is absolutely amazing, we have gone to a lot of similar Mexican/Latin fusion restaurants before and this one is by far the best. We had the traditional guacamole, tropical ceviche to start - both fantastic. We then had tacos, I got the pastor and my husband got the carnitas - we both agreed that the pastor was better but the carnitas was not bad, next time we would both get the pastor because they were out of this world. Both got a side of esquites, very good! Ended with churro bites and were very tasty! Would absolutely recommend going here and feel like the price definitely matches the quality of food, if not a steal! Service was great too!
