Its chefs are inspired by fresh, seasonal ingredients and its bar staff creates innovative cocktails and serves a range of wines by the glass and draught beers, as well. The menu at Meat & Potatoes is a new take on basic. There are classic appetizers like fried pickles, grilled bread and fried Brussels sprouts, as well as more innovative fare like fried pigs ear and buttermilk fried chicken liver. Ordered Filet and my wife ordered strip steak. Both steaks were burnt inside and out. The meals were tiny with very little side. I would not bother to go to this place based on price and the food quality. There are much better more fancy restaurants that will give you an excellent meal for less of a price. Not happy and will never go back .

Server, John, was outstanding. Not the best old fashioned in town, but okay. Steak was perfect.

My wife loved her scallops. The salmon was very creative and delicious. Potato soup was excellent. Our waiter was very friendly. They made sure we had time to get to our show. Would definitely recommend this establishment 👍👍

Dinner for 4 before play with a 5:15 reservation. Took quite sometime after ordering to get our food. Finally received my salmon was warm, husbands chicken warm, daughters lamb pappardelle somewhat warm to hot and son’s fillet mignon cold. Called the waiter to table who sent back for another fillet. Three of us were almost completely done with dinner before son’s steak came out and delivered by manager who didn’t seem to care that we were almost done eating and now it’s 6:30 and my son has to eat quickly so we can get to show. I spoke to server who really seemed to understand. He said he had checked on food several times cause it had taken so long. The manager didn’t understand that we all wanted to eat together, not have my son watch us eat. New steak was lousy at a price of $69.00. After a conference with waiter, manager took the steak off our bill. Very disappointed and had to rush to make our play. Never again. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from and I wouldn’t recommend a restaurant that can’t serve hot food or cook a steak. The manager came across as arrogant. Wrong attitude!!

We were disappointed in the food quality. It’s been two years since we dined here but the quality has gone down hill. The $160 tomahawk was smaller than before and very tough and even when it was cooked medium rare. The pork belly was very tough to cut. To spend $300 total on a meal here for our Christmas date we had hoped for something of better quality.

We had the beef Wellington for 2 at recommendation of our server John. It did not disappoint! It was cooked to perfect and was a delight. I also got a bowl of the potato leek soup, which was delicious. Overall, the dining experience was excellent, with a great server. My only issue was the seating. We were seated near the bar with the continuous bench seat with table and chairs. It made for ease of getting in and out of seat a bit awkward, especially with heavy coats, and you were close enough to the diners next to you that conversation wasn’t private.

Our entire meal was cold, the meat was no where near prime, the drinks were watery the whole experience was terrible. I have been here many times but not for a while. The food was presented differently and not at all what we came to expect from Meat and Potatoes. I will only go back for the Pate which is always excellent, except when they served it right out of the refrigerator. It should be room temp. Overall it’s gone downhill.
