   Review of Mayfair Grill – Disappointing Valentine’s Day Experience I took my husband to Mayfair Grill for Valentine’s Day, expecting a romantic and memorable evening, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. When we arrived, they initially tried to seat us inside, which looked more like a small, unimpressive sandwich shop rather than a fine dining experience. It was cramped and unappealing. We requested to sit outside instead, which was a much better setting—beautiful, like a garden, with a lovely ambiance. The live musicians were the highlight of the night; they were truly amazing and created a wonderful atmosphere. The restaurant had two menu options: a $100 three-course prix fixe menu and a regular menu with very limited choices. After looking at the options, we decided the prix fixe menu wasn’t worth it and ordered from the regular menu instead. The food was just okay—we had pasta, and while it wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t anything special either. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. The outdoor setting and music were the best parts, but the food was average, the menu was too limited, and the indoor seating area was a disappointment. For the price and occasion, I expected much better.

   Not at all impressed. Came here for Sunday brunch, hoping to have an outstanding meal, but food, as well as service and presentation, was just average. Ordered the fruit plate, the breakfast burrito, the salad capress, and the toast. Being a restaurant from a renowned chef (from Luca & eating house), expected much more.

   We went with very high expectations because of Giorgio (the chef) and our previous visits. Our table was on the inside terrace where the DJ was very loud. The meal was cold, sloppy and delivered by an untrained staff that was obviously struggling with more business than usual but the restaurant was almost empty by the time we left. Not a dealbreaker for us because we are fans of the chef, we are locals and we want them to succeed but they need to address these issues.

   I think going during a holiday is tough because of the low staff but it was very nice but the food took a bit to come out and honestly for the price, it wasn't as great as I thought it would be. Great staff and nice service.

   The food was great. Our server was pleasant. But it took a very long time to get our entrees. We had our young children with us, and, understandably, they had a difficult time with the wait. So the delay took away from our overall experience.

   This was billed as a Christmas Day brunch… it was actually just their regular weekend brunch. There was not one nod to Christmas . No decorations. No ambience. I felt like I was sitting next to a public swimming pool having a second rate breakfast. Never again

   Romantic place with lots of nooks and crannies amidst ponds, fountains and a jungle feel--all in the midst of a unique hotel. We enjoyed the couch seating for two.
