   We had Christmas Eve dinner here with the family. Staff is friendly - we were seated right away and they had kids' menus & crayons for the kids. Overall - the food is freshly prepared and delicious. Some issues: steak was under cooked (we asked for medium rare, came out as rare). We added an item at the end of the meal and we waited a loooong time for the item, and they got the order wrong. We waited another 25 mins for the correct item to be brought out. It's the holiday season and the restaurant might've been understaffed/etc.

   We dined twice for dinner at Mauka Makai and thoroughly enjoyed both times. One would not expect a restaurant at a time share to be anything special. We were very pleasantly surprised and returned for a second visit because it was so good. The food is excellent and rivals anything at top restaurants in the Kaanapali area, and with good prices. Our server James was top notch - he knew what he was doing (no problem opening older bottles of wine, which we had brought with us) - he was engaged and pleasant - we enjoyed his service very much. The view at Mauka Makai is beautiful. The combination of everything made for a wonderful evening and we'll definitely be back during our next visit to Nanea.

   We loved our time there and our meal. A bit embarrassed when the server asked if we were owners in the condo building... which would have resulted in a lower cost......... that could have been presented to us a bit more professionally .

   The buffet or limited menu was all that was available on Thanksgiving. The buffet had very little to choose from. It certainly should not have cost $85! No vegetables except Brussels, no bread rolls. I had veggie curry since there was nothing for me to eat in buffet as I don’t eat meat or fish, I counted 4 pieces of zucchini, 2 red pepper pieces, 2 green bell pepper pieces and 3 pieces of eggplant. A small 1/2 cup of rice for $28. I was starving…

   Very pleasant dining experience at the resort restaurant. Food quality was great and service was excellent. Beautiful ocean view also helped.

    The restaurant is right off the pool of the Westin Nanea property so the view is wonderful. The night my husband and I ate here, there was a live singer who was excellent. The menu wasn’t extensive and I so there had been more options but we both enjoyed what we ate. My husband had noodles with shrimp and vegetables. There wasn’t a lot of shrimp but the dish was tasty and the noodles tasted freshly made. Really great dish. I had the curry with the fish of the day. I would have preferred more sauce but the dish overall was also very flavorful. The service was spotty but luckily, we ate a little later so the staff was little lighter than I assume during busy times.
