The food and its presentation were magnificent. The food taste was delicious, I found something I couldn't find in many places. This was eating while chatting with people I didn't know at the cafeteria.

We had a superb wedding anniversary dinner with Chef Yu Uchida and his team at Matsukawa over the Christmas holidays. The intimate experience of his 8 seater restaurant is pretty unique in Dublin dining and the quality of the nigiri, sushi and sashimi was excellent. Being able to watch him ply his craft at an arm’s length from us allowed us to really appreciate the work that he puts into his preparation and presentation. Yu and his two colleagues were also very engaging and informative. We will definitely return.

If you are looking for amazing Japanese food in Dublin, look no further! The food was absolutely delicious and authentic, with every detail executed perfectly. From the freshness of the ingredients to the beautiful presentation, it was clear that a lot of care and attention went into each dish. We can’t wait to come back :)

Amazing experience, food was incredible and trying new things which was very exciting. Staff were very friendly as well as the chef which was great to chat too and watch his amazing skills making everything fresh in front of your eyes! Will be recommending to all my friends and only a matter of time before a Michelin star goes their way.

Hands down the greatest dining experience myself and partner have ever been to, would highly recommend! It was like watching art being created. The best sushi I have ever eaten

Food was delicious. A little over priced for what it was. Seating/set up was interesting but I expected more from the omakase experience (e.g. more explanation of dishes, food & fish sources etc.)

Quality of the food is excellent but the portions (Nigiri) are tiny! A nice all round experience, great service but I don’t think it’s value for money!

A lovely dining experience. Very few diners, friency staff and relaxed atmosphere. Food was very fresh and delicious. It was a different kind of dining experience - nice to see how the food is prepared in front of you. We very much enjoyed our evening.
