I have been to Matilda Bay a few times and always had a nice meal. This time i was disappointed with the meal. The Lamb Rump was full of fat and our steaks were very rare, given we asked for medium. The service was great, however i was disappointed with the food and the menu.

Drinks service was exceptionally slow, first order of drinks arrived at the same time as our meal, disappointing.

When booking the place , it looked good value being a bottomless brunch for $65 . It was literally one piece of toast with a very limited lunch and breakfast menu , the drink selection was the choice of the cheapest wines that they wanted to get rid of and a horrible cocktail pretty disappointing especially on Mother’s Day

Food and restaurant it' s self excellent. service started out great but after main was finished took a long time to come around to collect plates and then we had to ask for the dessert menu. We then had to wait while they printed them off for us and never asked if we wanted another drink after the first one was finished.

The view from the restaurant is fantastic but the food was very disappointing - fish was dry and tasteless & lamb was fine but extras were 2nd rate. The service was just ok...had to wait in lobby for 5 mins before someone greeted us. Ambience is off, very bright lights, felt empty with everyone seated along window (Thurs night) and overall a very disappointing experience.
