    We had a fantastic meal at Maru Bistro. The menu has been recently updated to reflect less emphasis on nigiri sushi and maki rolls. Don’t let this influence your decision to dine at Maru, the menu is still full of unique and deliciously tasty items. The service is thoughtful and the atmosphere is very calm.

    It was a cute place. We ordered miso soup and they came back 10 minutes later saying they were out, and there was another item that we had ordered where they came back a separate time again to say they had run out. no complimentary replacement was offered. Food was meh, plain tasting. Good atmosphere though.

    Made reservations here for myself and partner for my birthday. We loved the food - the nori canapé and torched pressed sushi were our favourites. The non-alcoholic yuzu beverage was a perfect complement to the meal and every part of the experience felt very intentional. A beautiful experience, we will be returning :)

    Food was excellent though a bit pricy. Service was friendly and kind, though the day we attended felt busier than they expected with only two staff available at the front for service. Still, food came out in a timely manner and tasted great. Would definitely return! Highly recommend the ebi katsu and their nori crepes.

    Wonderful service; everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Place was well lit without being overly bright - still felt intimate. Good selection of food and drinks.
