Margeaux Supper Parlor presents a novel way to experience dinner by telling stories through cuisine. Guests are encouraged to order a themed trio of dishes, larger than tapas and smaller than big plates, to better experience the menu and recreate the familial bonhomie we associate with supper at grandma’s (when you were urged to try a bite of everything!).
Recommended wine pairings are served in collections to mirror the entree trios.

Margeaux Supper Parlor serves New American cuisine, blending dishes inspired by the two most historic port cities in the country: New Orleans and Boston. Dinner plates include: Tomato & Bacon Jam Deviled Eggs (topped with a fried Maine oyster), Lamb Lollipops with cherry reduction, Pumpkin Ravioli, Beef Wellington, Shrimp & Boursin Grits, and Maple Bourbon Steak Tips.

Brunch is also served in themed collections and includes items such as: Quiche Lorraine, Fried Chicken & Sweet Corn Waffle, Eggs Benedict, and a Black Forrest Waffle.

This is my new go to restaurant. I have been for both dinner and brunch - all excellent. The “collection” concept allows one to taste a variety of dishes - fantastic idea. For the brunch, one can order a “mini” Bloody Mary” along with one egg Benedict. At dinner recently shared the arugula fig salad, halibut & had the 1/2 portion of the lamb lollipops. My friend had the 1/2 portion of rib eye. All excellent and the wait staff is incredible! Since I did not want 2 glasses of wine, they offer a 2 ounce glass which was perfect.

Complicated menu explained by friendly host; the 'food flight' was an odd grouping of food choices, though tasty. A tiny bowl of gumbo was $14, and a full size version of an entree at more than double the price of the small plate was not much larger. Service was fine.

Wow! This was the best meal I’ve had out in a very long time. Our server gave us great advice and the deliciousness of the deviled eggs w a fried oyster and bechamel(?) on top sounded strange but tasted AMAZING! Every bite was truly spectacular. The four of us raved about the food and service. My back was to the dining room so little comment on the ambiance. Happy to spend the money here - they earned it. Will go back and recommend it endlessly. Yum!

The idea of a three-course tasting menu is great. The fact that all three courses come to your table at the same time is not great. Instead of enjoying each plate you end up with one dish that is nice and hot, one dish that is lukewarm, and one dish that is stone cold. Even if you eat off of all three plates at the same time it is impossible to enjoy all the food at the proper temperature, much less also enjoy the wine pairings. A fine enough idea that for me was let down by the execution.

The food was great but the service was so slow. It took forever to get a drink. I mean forever. We were there for 3 hours. Very inattentive service, I couldn’t even get someone to get the check.

No one was at the door for the majority of the evening. It took ten minutes to even get a drink order taken. It took another ten minutes to get a food order taken. We waited for our entrees for 40 minutes. We ordered med rare and they came well done. No one came to see if we were enjoying our food until we were half way through our food. We didn’t bother sending it back to wait another 40 minutes to eat. None of it was properly seasoned - some of it no seasoning whatsoever and some of it wildly over seasoned. Three guests sitting around us while we were waiting for our food were served their food without silverware. Horrendous experience - it was an empty Monday or Tuesday night.

Great atmosphere and ambiance. We sat at the bar and enjoyed full menu. A large group from an event next door ended up coming in soon after we arrived so sound level became noisier than upon arrival and was quite busy but overall wasn’t an issue. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and nicely presented.

A gem with some rough edges, owing to newness, I'm sure. We enjoyed Colette's Wine Bar and its successor in this location, Margeaux Supper Parlor promises to be as good or better, in the same attractive setting and ambiance. But it's not there yet: the options for ordering were confusing (more options than shown on the menu) and the sampler portions we ordered, while delicious and sufficient, were served on plates so small that for some dishes, one with cascading rice, it was hard not to knock food off onto the table while using one's fork. Very odd! The restaurant was packed and noisy on a Friday night; our charming waitperson was overwhelmed, as were most of the staff, so we received dinner before any drinks arrived, and waited quite a while to order dessert. But it's early days, we understand that, and we will return.

Great food and interesting concept. The parking in the area is very difficult. The service this time left much to be desired- while one of the hosts was great, she couldn’t carry it for the slow and inattentive waiter assigned to our table. We had to fight to get our food and drinks in the order we intended. I literally only saw the waiter twice: at ordering time and check time. The food was delivered finally with signs it had been sitting : cold fries on the steak tip dish and lukewarm meat for example.
