   Late Sunday evening is a tough time for a busy Times Square restaurant - while the food was good, the service was slow and distracted, our order had to be confirmed twice because it wasn’t written down and a drink ordered was brought over halfway through dinner after we had to ask for it again. The roving photographer is over the top - unless I’m there for a celebration of some sort I don’t want to purchase photographs of my finished dinner. Enjoy a meal here for a birthday or an event, but I wouldn’t bother for a normal dinner.

   This year for our Christmas trip to New York City. My kids decided they wanted to eat at Margaritaville Times Square. We’ve always had great experiences at the Orlando location so we decided to give it a try. The host was very polite and accommodating. The servers were upbeat and genuine. The food came out quickly. My kids were raving about the chicken fingers, not so much the craft macaroni and cheese. My husband liked his cheeseburger in paradise. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp. It was good but I wish I would have tried something else. The ambience was great, however we would have liked to see live music like at the other location. It Wasn’t as impressive as Orlando for it being in Times Square . Overall great family restaurant.

   We love this place for lunch on the way to the train. All the food is good, burgers, salads, shrimp. And we keep trying more of the menu and it doesn’t disappoint. Drinks are good too.

   I made a reservation for 10 a few weeks in advance, successfully and confirmed. Day of, I was notified that my reservation was cancelled by the company due to a private event. I scrambled for the next few hours to generate plan b for my best friends birthday. It was very disappointing to realize companies will in fact prioritize a buyout over honoring existing reservations. The bad taste will keep me from dining here in the future.

   We were on a mother/daughter trip to NY & had dinner here on Friday evening. It was TERRIBLE. Our server (Larry) was incredibly rude & truly terrible at his job. While ordering drinks he joked about carding my daughter (22) & not my Mum & Aunt by referring to their “ glasses at half mast & hair cuts” as marking them elderly. He then lied to me about not having Aperol to make Aperol Spritz (we saw the bottle on the bar when leaving). He continued to be snarky & rude throughout the evening & could obviously not care less about our experience. Would normally have tipped over the included 20%, but honestly we wouldn’t have tipped at all, given the circumstances, if it wasn’t automatic. The food itself wasn’t great. Salads were huge, but way overdressed. The nachos were awful; soggy & drenched in sour cream. Burger was okay, though overcooked. We had ordered wine after dinner & Larry tried to make us leave the table (the restaurant was half empty, they clearly did not need to turn the table over). Once the wine was delivered, we never saw him again. Cannot express enough how rude he was to my mom and aunt; to the point where it was a topic of conversation throughout the entire weekend. They are too very attractive women; one her 70s and one in her late 60s & it was unprofessional at best and downright cruel at worst to make those comments. Shame on you, Margaritaville, do better!!!!

   We had to ask 3 people for silverware. Our waitress had attitude. We received the wrong drinks. When we got up and walked around to find a manager for silverware (we already had our food) she was more interested in seating new tables. We will never eat there again and will discourage others from eating there

    The service was great but the food was not good at all. I ordered the jerk salmon which seemed like they splattered spicy ketchup on the salmon and brought it out. There was a slither of shriveled up spinach underneath and a huge bed of parboiled white rice that had absolutely no flavor what so ever, the salmon was also hard to the point that my fork had a hard time going through it. However, the chicken quesadilla that we ordered for appetizer was good. But who can mess up a quesadilla? I had high hopes for the margarita and was severely underwhelmed I ordered the fins to the left margarita and I’m sure I had better store brought bottom shelf margaritas at the grocery store than here. My expectations of this place may have been too high but if you’re gonna be called margaritaville I’m expecting a damn good margarita at the very least. It does appear that they do well with fried food like the seafood platter & burgers which was what my friend ordered. Unfortunately I would not come back, the prices of the food does not match the quality. But our server was great.
