Marco’s New York Italian has launched its first restaurant in London. Situated in Mercure Hotel London Bridge, this New York Italian brings an authentic yet contemporary concept to the busy business district of the capital.

With Marco’s Italian heritage, the New York Italian brings a twist on traditional Italian cuisine by combining the taste of America with inspirational flavours from the Mediterranean. Simple food done well, Marco’s New York Italian London bridge is debuting the NEW menu for the brand.

By going back to basics, the new menu introduces fresh, tasty and humble Italian dishes such as Spaghetti di Pomodoro and Pizza Americano (Tomato, mozzarella and spicy sausage). The menu doesn’t shy away from American classics like Hickory Smoked Baby Back Ribs and The Great American Beef Burger (BBQ sauce, Bacon and Monterey Jack Cheese).

Awful ambiance. So quiet. It reminded me of a regional Harvester. Staff were very nice though. We didn't eat as we left after 10mins.

This place is horrendous. I ignored the bad ratings, choosing to form my own opinion because I was staying nearby. It's an insult to New York (it wouldn't stand a chance there), an insult to London ( which has and deserves better), and to Open Table, who I earlier believed somewhat vetted these places before unleashing them upon their customers. I arrived at noon (reservation time) and a man who eventually wandered haphazardly near the "wait stand" looked at me as if I had brought a horse in to be shoed. "We're not open yet," he explained, though it was 12:10. He showed me to a seat in the hotel lobby (I will spare the hotel the bad press by association) and offered me a glass of tap water. At 12:20 they seated me, at 1230 they brought me more water, 10 minutes later came my antipasti (which required no cooking - why so long)? At 110 came my meatballs. Ok, they were tasty, but I routinely make better myself . They did serve a nice glass of Chianti Superiore, but even that could not save the meal, the day, or them.

Good service bit disappointed in size of restaurants only small in a hotel but meal was ok but certainly not value for money expect to pay more in London but way too expensive for what you get would not recommend or revisit.

Starters came promptly and were fine but when the main course came only 3 were brought. Thinking, because mine was fish, it was being cooked to order we were not too concerned. However, after 6 or 7 minutes it became apparent that the waitress had misunderstood and thought I wasn't having a main course! I would have thought that with a new, non English speaking staff member, the floor manager might have noticed only 3 dishes had been brought out and queried it. It was early evening and the restaurant was not very busy. To be fair, we didn't pay for my main course. The food was good but the overall service and organisation was not impressive.

The service at this restaurant was atrocious. When we arrived and advised we had booked, we were ACCUSED of not having made a reservation. I then had to show the Open Table email confirming the booking to which the maître d just looked confused and said he thinks he can get a table put together (wow don't put yourself out being a restaurant and all) but we will have to wait. We were all made to feel like we had done something wrong and also the restaurant was empty which was the real joke. There was no apology or complimentary drink just an awkward 10 minute wait and then he said 'I have managed to put a table together for you, if you want it...'! Generally we were not made to feel welcome but rather a nuisance! There was only one waitress so inevitably we waited some time for drinks and to order. We ordered a bottle of white wine which was room temperature and this was the coldest bottle they had! The food was ok - you can't really go wrong with burger and chips. To top it off the bill sneakily had the service charge hidden within the food items and then service charge £0.00 at the bottom of the bill - absolute cheek. To make matters worse, when we asked for the service charge to be removed, the waitress got the right hump which made an awkward bill paying 5 minutes and the maître d came back asking why and then tried to argue with us! Unbelievable. I may have been spoilt by amazing service in other restaurants but even when I have had reason to complain before, I have always received an apology and complimentary drink etc. Our request to have the service removed and our poor opinion of this restaurant are not unfair or unreasonable. I can only assume Marco P W has never been here as he would have a dickie fit! I would NEVER recommend this restaurant.

Lovely restaurant, made us feel very welcome from the moment we entered the building! the food was nice, would've preferred more fish options, however the food I did order was lovely. Service was excellent and good value for money!

Average food in an average ambience. We had some pizza and pasta and the seasoning was pretty bland for the pasta and very basic for the pizza. Best thing around was the wine, service being somewhat inattentive although the place wasn't packed.

An amazing find for our first night in London. Booked this due to the reviews before actually realising it is Marco Pierre White's restaurant, once noticing this we had high hopes and were not disappointed. The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive, had no issues with our booking. The atmosphere was perfect for a date night as there were couples at most tables and the lighting was dimmed with a candle on each table. To start I had the pulled pork nachos which were to die for, followed by the bolognaise pizza which is rightly so recommended by Marco himself. Cannot fault this place at all and would love to return! Food was of amazing quality and the staff were very friendly.

I think this place was created to show how bad places can get, to make you appreciate others more. After climbing over a mop and bucket, which was left blocking the top of the stairs, I entered an empty restaurant. I eventually found someone who was very surprised to see me. When I asked to be seated as per my reservation the surprise turned to shock, perhaps most people don't usually stay?!? The food was, despite the horrendous service, actually lovely. It is not possible to comment on ambience as we were the only people there, on a Thursday lunchtime sitting between 12 - 2!

Service was excellent. Food was good but nothing spectacular. That said I really enjoyed my New Orleans Cajun steak. Excellent seasoning
