   This has been a regular destination for us for a long time. Sorry to learn it is closing next month. Robert is the best server in town, and we would be lucky to encounter him again elsewhere.

   We booked for new years. Our first experience was of putting with the poor reception from the hostess. She was dismissive and short tempered. She gave us a wait of 20 mins that turned in to 30 and when asked continued to be short tempered. We went to the bar to grab a pre dinner beverage and 4 of the bar staff were engaged with one person at the bar and completely ignored us for over 5 mins. When we finally were being seated at 10:35 she made a point to stress that we had 90 mins and then would be asked to vacate the table. Keep in mind 90 mins would be midnight on the dot. Fast forward to the 5 course meal that we ordered which was pleasant minus the desserts which were disappointing. The 5 course meal was so spread out that it felt like we needed to have dinner after completing. New years came and went before we had even received our desserts. Keep in mind while we were waiting on our desserts in an empty restaurant with really loud “my p$$y my cr@ck” blaring in the background we were in the staffs view of a cowboy employee eating said desserts behind the counter while we had not been served ours. Grand total for 4 people and sub par slow limited meal and poor service and bad attitudes = 900.00 Also only two people had a couple cocktails. Very disappointed. Luckily we had great company and the ability to have intelligent conversations despite the level of care paid by the restaurant staff.

   Second year in a row we spend our NYE at Mama Shelter. Food was good, presentation too. Only the Matcha dessert was not 100%. The rooftop ambiance great!

   It was strangely not busy for a Saturday morning at 11:30. The staff was attentive and the food was great. There is a ton of street parking but they also have valet.

    Our waitress never checked on us. Tip is included, so why should she? Food was just ok.
