    We came on Wednesday 2nd October in the evening after a recommendation from someone in the village and had such a lovely experience. We both had the rump steak and were pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. The member of staff on shift was excellent so friendly and attentive. We had our newborn so eating out can be a bit stressful but were made to feel welcome and looked after. Great value for money we’ll be back soon.

    Food was average Service wasn’t great We wanted to order desserts at 8-30 but were told the kitchen was closed , Why didn’t the waitress come to our table to ask if we wanted anything else as before it closed ????

    Everything was perfectly OK with most aspects of the evening , food was decent pub fare and the seating and general ambiance was fine. BUT the ordering was an absolute disaster - we had to queue for half an hour to order drinks and food . There was one person on duty to do both - she was perfectly competent but totally overwhelmed. We weren’t expecting so many people she explained. There weren’t that many if a reasonable staffing level had been present. We then had an hours wait for our food which I have to say ruined the whole evening. I’m afraid we won’t be returning.

    We'd booked our meal and were looking forward to a Sunday roast or one of the other meals on the menu.. On arrival, nothing was said but we were given a dramatically reduced menu which stated that normal menu was not available due to "delivery issues". The temporary menu showed nothing that we wanted and so we left. Staff were very offhand and no apology was offered. It would have been OK if we had been warned of the siuation before arriving.

    Even though we had booked well in advance we had to wait over an hour for food. Starters were lukewarm. When the mains arrived the roast chicken arrived without stuffing & Yorkshire pudding even though it stated that’s what it came with, the vegetarian option came without roast potatoes & Yorkshire pudding when I queried it the manager came over & said he would sort it out. He arrived with a dish with roast potatoes in it & pudding on top, he lifted the pudding up with his hands to show me the potatoes were underneath he didn’t have any protection on his hands or use any tongs fair to say I didn’t eat the pudding as he had been stroking the dog opposite. He then said is everything ok & when I said we are still waiting for the stuffing & pudding it was like we were an inconvenience to him. Not once did a member of staff came to see if everything was ok. We will definitely not be coming back.

    The good was very tasty and well presented. Staff were pleasant but not as attentive as they have been before. The only thing I didn't like was that we had to pay up front for our meals. This is just a personal preference.

    Had family visiting and chose the perfect place. Food was lovely. Great choice. Sat in a lovely spot. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Just perfect. Definitely go again! Forgot how nice it was. Thank you so much.

    Food was fairly nice and what we expected but service was a little disappointing. Not really allocated a table, didn't ask if we'd booked and the staff seem very disorganised and lacked someone in charge. Only one person serving at the bar which was quite busy. Not bad overall but could be so much better if organised properly

    Nice pub & ok food nothing special. Beware the menu as it states you can have 2 courses for £16 however this is monday- Friday only but the menu does not start this.

    Food was not great and not worth the money overbooked with some cyclists so long wait, chips were cold fish was overcooked and not good value for money
