   Outstanding in every way from the moment you enter. There was clearly a lot of thought behind the restaurant. The room is lovely, tables set with linen. The room feels serene and luxurious. The food is superb, modern French with an Australian accent. Every dish was outstanding. Service is relaxed and friendly. I highly recommend a dinner at Malin. I look forward to a return visit.

   We had a fantastic experience at Malin. The food was sensational and the service outstanding. Every team member was friendly and informative. They were also happy to assist with minor modifications to address my husbands need for reduced dairy. I cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant and the team within it. Thanks for such a lovely evening.

   Great little place great service great food……..The only thing I would say is that our pre dinner drinks were smaller than usual I’ve had…….keep up the good work

   A gem in the North. An environment of simplicity and understated elegance is balanced with warmth and personality from the staff; matched with exceptional produce and you've got yourself a wonderful dining experience. Cannot wait to return!

   We were met at the door by two smiling service staff and enjoyed a sumptuous and exciting six courses of seafood, duck and beef- all melt in the mouth tasty delights. The ambience was charming, the prices were most reasonable and we both very much enjoyed the whole experience. Highly recommend!

   Really lovely ambience and setting. Lovely staff. Good food. We totally enjoyed our time at Malin restaurant. Friendly and "approachable". We had the "feed me" option and (our fault) didn't check who liked oysters (not all of us) or goats cheese (not all of us) however, the food was delicious. Two suggestions for improvement...Malin have a very limited cocktail menu with an offer to make your personal favourite if they have the ingredients. We requested an Aperol Spritz and while the drink that arrived was fresh and enjoyable, it definitely wasn't an aperol. Also, the end-of-service could have been improved. After we had finished eating there was no offer of a dessert wine or coffees etc. The coffee offering is very slim also. Please focus on the part where we actually had a great afternoon - the other points are only minor.

    Malin has only opened recently so, as we live locally, I was very excited about dining there and we were not disappointed at all. Tash, the delightful owner was so helpful during the booking process and four of us chose the tasting menu which was absolutely stunning and perfect for a lazy Sunday lunch. A superb oyster/tarare 'bite' to begin, followed by delicious delicate ceviche, delicious asparagus and excellent steak with gorgeous, interesting potato 'mash' and salad. We finished off with cheese and two different deserts. Excellent wines by the glass and seemingly extensive wine list although I didn't look! The atmosphere is lovely - casual, yet very elegant, and well positioned in leafy Rathdowne village. Tash and her staff were so pleasant and obliging and it was lovely to meet who chef who also came out and presented some dishes. We all, including our friends who travelled quite some distance, loved the whole experience - so much so, we booked to return before leaving!! Go!
