Maiella, a casually elegant restaurant located in the picturesque waterfront section of Long Island City, serves authentic Italian dishes with a modern flare and the freshest ingredients. Maiella sits at the base of the iconic Pepsi sign in Gantry State Park, and features spectacular city views. Designed by a leading New York City Architecture firm, Bluarch, the rustic space features seating for up to 180 guests inside and almost 100 guests in the outdoor terrace. The terrace faces Manhattan and Gantry State Park with views of the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, and the 80 foot tall Pepsi Sign. Food, Service and room design are all top notch. Staff is professional, polite and friendly. Pasta’s is especially good. I just wish the music was played at a lower volume so we wouldn’t have to yell at each other. Even at a 2 or 4 top!!

We were looking for a new place that had great food, service and ambiance. Maiella hit a home run on all three. The menu has so many great options to choose from. The table-side cacio e pepe was one of the best we’ve had. It’s a nice add to have it made right at your table. We had chicken parm and branzino and both were equally delicious. They come with either a side of pasta or vegetables. For desert we had cheesecake and Affogato. This just sealed the deal for for an already amazing meal. Additionally, I am very big on customer service and they make sure they deliver in this area. Anthony , the manager, is a really nice guy. Stopped at our table to ensure everything met our expectations. He shared some stories with us about the restaurant and food. He makes sure all your expectations are met (even exceeded) and what sets this place apart from other restaurants in the area. We look forward to Maiella being a regular place for us and can’t wait to go back and try some other dishes. Lastly, the the ambiance with the views of NYC make this a place you won’t mind sitting for an hour or two. If you haven’t already, definitely try this gem.

Terrible service server ignored us most of the time, had a bad attitude, and we had to ask the manager to get the check, then wait another 15 minutes for the server to run the card. Food was solid but absolutely not going back tons of other better restaurants in the area.

Birthday night, midweek, 7:00 pm. Not too crowded, service excellent, food excellent. Dined on ravioli stuffed with braised beef & cheese w/chunky tomato sauce, also chicken parmesan. Our salads were amazing. I had green market salad perfectly dressed & partner had arugula salad, perfectly dressed. I wanted a specially made drink & they followed my instructions. Delicious! Our new fine dining place. Only issue, wish the parking situation was more convenient.
