Went to Maie Day for my sister's bachelorette party. The reservation was easy to get through open table and when I needed to modify our reservation staff was quick to get back to me. The food & drinks were AMAZING!! Our server was kind and helpful and answered all our questions. 10/10 would eat there again.

Great food, the grilled oysters and crab claws were spectacular. The prime rib off the charts.

I had high expectations since it is promoted as a Michelin Guide establishment. I was let down. Went for a birthday dinner with four of my friends. We joked about the only thing we enjoyed was the can of coke my sober friend ordered… oh and the rolls! The rolls were great. Other than that, the crudo, smoked fish dip and salada we ordered as appetizers were subpar. The prime rib and steak frites were nothing out of the ordinary. Steak is served rare, so if you are a medium person make sure to specify your preference to the server. Cocktails or the comp birthday sorbet were also not so great unfortunately. Service and vibes were the one thing that stood out to us.

Went for brunch and we ordered the Gimmie Burger and the Prime Rib Hash. Gimmie Burger was great filled with flavor. The prime rib hash was not good at all unfortunately, it was greasy, very little meat and odd lime flavor. Wish I would have ordered a steak option all the steak options looked great.

Overall it was a good experience. The location and restaurant vibe is great! Our table was late to be seated which was surprising given the reservation size was adjusted day-of from 5 to 3 which I would have assumed would be easier to seat. The whole market fish was by far the best item on the menu! Unfortunately we were only able to order one because they ran out. The NY Strip streak was overcooked (asked for Med Rare). Not sure how eager I am to go back.

    1. We waited about 30 min past our reservation to be sat, they did offer us sparking wine while we waited, but still a little irritating when you've made a reservation weeks in advance. 2. When we finally were sat, we ordered drinks that came to the table relatively quickly, but when we came to order food 3 of the items we wanted were no longer available at 8pm, which was kind of a bummer. 3. We ordered what felt like an ample amount of starters (4), entrees (3 "for all" size) and sides (3) for the table, when they came the portion size was so small it was laughable. And at no point did the waitress alert us to this. At one point someone referenced Oliver Twist, It felt so meager. And the price would have led you to believe we would have gotten a bit more. I realize we're eating on South Congress and the prices reflect that rent payment, but it was pretty sad. 4. However, the taste was great. The steaks were beautifully cooked, the fish was seasoned perfectly the sides were delicious, everything tasted wonderful. I just felt like I need a little more to feel satisfied. At the end of it, we spent $100/person and got home feeling peckish. I would return, maybe for a special meal or for a corporate dinner on the corporate card.

Average food for a restaurant recognized on Austin’s inaugural Michelin list. The “world famous” crab claws were floating in what seemed like the blandest lake of butter. The prime rib was cold, and nothing special. I’ve had better cheesecake at no name restaurants at a quarter of the price. Worst, the service was late, the cheesecake arrived 15 min and 2 reminders after being ordered. Finally, the coup de grace was discovering the next morning that the server had charged me twice on my credit card. Now I have to waste my time disputing the transaction with my bank. A terrible experience all in all.
