   I was really surprised at how bland the decor is. It’s like a cafeteria. The name and the food says different. I enjoyed the food and the service immensely.

   We enjoyed our dinner at Mad Bene. It was a Friday evening, so busy. We made reservations, and we were seated quickly. We ordered a glass of wine and split the Ceasar Salad and Chicken Parm with spaghetti. Unlike most restaurants, the server was unwilling to switch out another pasta for the spaghetti. No reason why. The salad came in a reasonable amount of time and was exceptional. The chicken parm seemed to take longer than expected. The food was good, and the service was just OK. Lots of servers, clearing dishes quickly, but slow in the kitchen and inflexible. It could be a more sophisticated restaurant if they were better trained. Today, it works as a good meal before the movie. We will return with adjusted expectations.

   This is the gem of Kapolei!! We absolutely love eating here and will do it over and over again! The hot honey pizza is my favorite pizza! And the creamy Alfredo pasta was so good! They make their breads and pastas in house! Highly recommend!

   Second time here and reason we came back was because of the food. If it wasn't cause of it we wouldn't come back. Service was slow for the amount of ppl to servers on that night. There was 3 (serving/hosting/bussing/bartending). Disappointed with the margarita pizza, seems like they ran out of sauce for our order.

   We made a reservation, but got there about half an hour early and they were able to take us in right away. The food and drinks were delicious and our server was very kind and sincerely apologized that they were out of Tiramisu. We will definitely be going back again.

   We had party of 7. When ordering cocktail from menu, waitress kept telling us "we are out of that". Waited a while. Order dinners which arrived lukewarm and the birthday girl's dinner was forgotten to be made. Desert - was told only had tiramisu. After a wait, waitress came back to tell us cooks had just made desert so was not ready. After all that there was no discount or compensation.

   Overall, it was a great experience. The food was delicious and easy to share. I recommend the hot honey pizza, even though it sounds weird. The drinks were fantastic! The Queen Bee was so yummy. Great for large parties. We'll come again.

    Hot Honey Pizza was excellent! A must try! Sweet and a little spicy, crust is a little crunchy, but chewy.. will definitely order this again. I also ordered the Tartufo Al Tagliatelle.. a bit earthy tasting for me. A mixture of mushrooms with a garlic cream sauce over pasta. Sauce was a bit bland. Would’ve been nice to have a spoonful or two of Parmesan cheese to top pasta. However, they didn’t offer it. I would definitely go back. This time I would only order pizza and salad.
