Every course at the chef’s counter was a delight. Familiar items were elevated with novel ingredients. Everything tasted fresh and light. Classic wine pairing worked well with each course. Service was friendly and professional without being at all stuffy. Would recommend if you’re looking for a special occasion celebration or just a reason to have a really great fine dining experience.

Unfortunately, Maass really missed the mark this visit. The tables are under airvents that were blasting cold air and only got colder as time went on. When asked to turn them down we were told it was an engeneering problem yet from reading prior reviews it seems to be an ungoing issue that they cannot get under control. The air vents also really disguisting and dirty which is right over your table and food. They need to be clean daily and should never look like that. Service was very poor to start out. The waiter knew nothing about the dishes when questioned about the menu and made stuff up. After our first course we could no longer take the cold and asked to be moved (but there were no other tables) at this point we were ready to cancel the rest of our meal and leave. Luckily there was a table outside for us to move to finish our meal. While the outdoor service was a great improvement from inside the previous waiter never turned in one order so two of us were eating our meals and the third was not. They quickly prepared the dish wish came out looking very unappetizing, a steak cut in halh that was rare on one half and medium well on the other. Managment did make it right and comped some things which was very much appreciated, however, this was not the experience or quality of service that we came for or that one expects from a Four Seasons property and restaurant of this calibur. Weve always had good experiences here but the past couple of times there seems to be changes going on with the quality of the food, cutting menu items and different staff which has not been for the better. It will be a while before we go back if ever.

Food was outstanding. Best in Fort Lauderdale. Service was good but very slow. Waiter was nice but not as knoweldgeable about the entrees as I would expect. Also, It took 2.5 hours to complete the meal. Music was loud rap - not the ambiance you would expect. It prevented us from sitting inside. If they could refine the music and volume, and improve on the time to get an entree (at least 30-45 minutes between plates), they would get higher marks.

We had a great experience at MAASS! My wife and I ordered the tasting menu; everything was delicious and well-presented. They made butter pasta for our daughters; they were very accommodating. Nicole took great care of us throughout the evening. We rated MAASS as the best restaurant we tried while visiting Fort Lauderdale. I only have one comment: Please change the style of the music playing. The music does not match the chic, modern restaurant ambience but is more suited for a dance club.

The fois gras macoron are a must try. While they are sweet enough to be desert, they are definitely not too sweet. The oysters were mild and pleasant and the lobster pasta was lovely. We tried 2 different cocktails, which were both tasty, balanced and creative. We were a little annoyed by the 4% employee wellness fee on the bill. I would not complain if the tip were included, but either let me tip as I see fit or simply include the tip on the bill. This had me thinking "wtf is that" & then meticulously deducting the 4% off of what we would have otherwise tipped. It felt underhanded in an otherwise lovely experience.

We decided to give this restaurant a try even though it is located in a hotel, and I seldom think hotel cuisine deserves a superior rating, but this place had been recommended and highly rated by others. The cuisine was both good and inventive. The service was attentive, friendly, and thoroughly knowledgeable. Training seems to have been extensive and effective. This restaurant is expensive and the prices are too elevated to earn high marks for value. Additionally, we requested and received an outside table which was pleasant, but the space is shielded from the street by vegetation that eliminated the ocean view that had been eagerly anticipated. Finally, we are not big fans of Rap music, but it was being blasted at high volume from an adjacent property which diminished the dining experience.

MAASS is quite possibly, the best restaurant in Fort Lauderdale! The food is delicious and oh so elegantly prepared. The artistry the chefs exhibit in their food creations, is nothing less than perfection. The combined flavors are truly a culinary delight. And the service, is incredibly efficient and attentive. The entire staff is professional, yet personal. What an experience it was for me, sitting at the Chef's counter for their "tasting menu". For I was served exceptionally prepared dishes over the course of the evening. All of which, were more impressive than the last. Thank you MAASS, for an unforgettable dining experience in such a beautiful restaurant and location.
