   Loved the food. I can be kind of conservative when it comes to trying different foods. I'm a meat and potato mid West gal...but worldly nonetheless..having lived 14 years in Europe. I really enjoyed every dish here, and the service was friendly and unpretentious.

   If you enjoy a fresh, imaginative take on Asian fare, this is the place. On this, our 2nd visit to M Test Kitchen, my wife and I started with the baby gem salad and the tuna tataki for the first course. For our second course we shared the sweet/savory Kabocha pumpkin and the wonderful pearl meatballs (pork encased in sticky rice), probably my favorite dish of the night. We followed with green fish curry and the duck. Everything was perfectly prepared and artfully plated by the chefs and knowledgeably presented by our attentive server Christina. The desert course and wine/sake pairings topped off a memorable outing. Looking forward to our next visit!

   We are HUGE M Sushi fans so the Test Kitchen has been on our short list to try. After the first appetizer we should have left… it was awful. The tuna was sooo fishy it almost tasted spoiled. Each course that came, we ordered 8 items they were equally awful. We found ourselves chugging water with each bite to be polite to the kitchen. Each course looked beautiful but all were disappointing. This felt very off brand for M as we think they are the best sushi in NC. We will not be back. To save the night we went to Crawford for a second . dinner.

   Usually love this place but the 5 course omakase they did for valentines was a miss.

   We enjoyed an incredible valentine's day omakase menu. The flavors of each dish were well balanced with contrasting textures. I'm not a big fan of sorbet, but the Kiwi sorbet that we had last night was insanely good. Unfortunately the dishes were served too fast last night. We had all 5 courses and drinks in just under 1 hour. That wasn't our experience in the past when we dined here, so we don't expect it's a usual occurrence. We can't wait to return to M Test Kitchen for our next date night.

   Great experience as always. Connor, the chef, was awesome as always. Had some of our favorite dishes, such as the gem salad, the lobster shumai, and denver steak. Will miss Connor here, but he promised the food and service will continue to be top notch.

   The food was unique, but not our favorite. Sitting at the bar while there were open tables was frustrating. I get the concept, but it’s not my favorite place to go.
