Ambience, food and wine all as expected for the price point. Let down by the slow service. Unclear if it was lack of staff or incompetence. Waiting 45min for desert after ordering I don't consider acceptable, particularly when all they needed to do was get it from the fridge and dress the plate.

First time visit. Had a great experience, great food and a great atmosphere. Service good and the meal was value for money. Graig gave us an overview of the restaurant and the Lunar Society that the restaurant takes its inspiration from. Would recommend and intend to go back in the new year.

As always the food at Lunar was exemplary. The Christmas lunchtime menu deal meant we had a delicious meal at a reasonable price. However, we were sat at a table in another section away from other diners with the only company being two business men working on their laptops. So poor atmosphere. We could hear the excellent pianist but as we could not see him he might as well have been a recording. We were celebrating my daughter’s final hospital appointment after recovery from cancer so the atmosphere was not conducive to this. Disappointing.

Food is excellent, waiter service slow including taking order. Absolutely freezing, complained 4 times and told problem sorted, within minutes absolutely frozen again. £120 meal for 2 people excluding drinks. We would go back but definitely sit somewhere different, next time taking husband as he appreciates quality food Disappointed as it was a special meal for mum and daughter, I wanted it to be perfect as we are both not well, we waited 16 years for a meal together.

Outstanding again. Great food and the service is impeccable. The waiter reminded my favourite drink and mixed it to perfection, thank you. Always a lovely experience looking forward to next time already
