Cheltenham’s newest MICHELIN Star - Lumiere is an elegant, ingredient-led, innovative, fine dining experience in the heart of Cheltenham. Lead by husband and wife team, Somerset born Chef Jon and general manager Helen, the restaurant has a focus on the best British produce sourced from a network of dedicated farmers, fishermen, producers & our own family run farm. Since opening in January 2009, Lumiere has received numerous local and national awards including a MICHELIN Star, AA Restaurant of the Year for England, 3AA Rosettes and is regularly listed amongst the Top 20 Restaurants in the UK by Hardens and Tripadvisor. Jon was also shortlisted for Restauranteur of the Year by The Caterer for all of his efforts during the pandemic.

Lumiere is outstanding. The quality of everything is superb from ingredients to presentation. The wine pairing was insightful and very well chosen. The staff are charming and efficient. I could not recommend this restaurant more highly. The only negative - and it is a small one - is that the interior design is a little dull and unsophisticated for dining of this calibre. However, that is obviously subjective and certainly wouldn't stop us returning. Congratulations to the owners and the whole team for such a wonderful & memorable evening.

An excellent four course lunch. Calm and expertly hosted. Good spacing between tables. Not overly taken with the touch pad menus as loses the aesthetic but otherwise, a lovely experience.

A fabulous lunch to celebrate a birthday! Everything was absolutely perfect! The food was delicious and the wine a delight, the staff present but not intrusive in any way! We have already booked another lunch!
