   The place was nice, but we were seated in the back. We saw our waiter as she was all over the place. The food my wife got two little pieces of bread with her Tuscan prawns which looked like shrimp with noodles in a white sauce. She it was ok. Mine dish was the fried chicken. This was cooked either in the AM or I thought this tastes like the chicken from sav-Mart. Their chicken is good as this chicken Everything is ala cart. So, a place called Lukas you would think would serve bread with your meal. I almost forgot my potatoes had chunks of potatoes that weren't mashed I think if we go there, we will sit at the bar and order a hamburgers.

   My crusted salmon was cooked perfectly and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his grilled chicken pasta. The Scott Harvey Barbera was a lovely accompaniment to the salmon and we shared a pumpkin flavored brûlée was a wonderful way to end the meal. My husband was pleased to find an IPA on tap.

   The food here is generally good. I ordered the special which was white albacore, it was grossly overcooked and fishy. Very disappointing. Based on our experience, don’t order the specials. Their regular menu is generally very good.

   I wanted to find a nice restaurant in Jackson that offered interesting food but was still affordable. By interesting food, I mean something where someone is cooking a dish where some thought as to how ingredients taste together not serving meals where something is slapped on a grill for x amount of time. You know, actually cook. The food at Luka's was good but I had really been looking forward to getting one of their 3-course dinners -- which are only offered on Thursday. Let's see... The servings were more than generous. We split an appetizer of garlic/cheese flatbread w/a marinara sauce. Think a small pizza w/a generous sprinkling of cheese & garlic/oil. The pizza dough was quite good and beautifully cooked. My only suggestion is that it should be served with a small teaspoon so that some of the sauce can be spooned on top of the bread (as opposed to dipping). The flatbread and a dinner salad would be a more-than-adequate lunch -- even if you share the flatbread with another. The dinner salad was quite pretty with long strips of fresh carrots, diagonally-sliced cucumbers, halved cherry tomatoes, and mixed greens. I got the blue cheese dressing. The dressing came on the side and had large chunks of blue cheese in it. I got the bison burger which was tasty but incredibly messy. A clue is that the waitperson brought me a couple of extra thick paper napkins (alongside the cloth napkin with the place setting). I could have used moist towels afterward. My husband got a vegetarian pasta which he said was good. I probably should have taken photos, but we fell on the food like wolves instead. They have a Facebook site that has a nice collection of food photos on it. We will definitely go back -- next time on a Thursday!

   Our prawns were delicious! Mine were in a ceasar salad and my husband had them with risotto. Service was excellent as usual!

   One thing I miss about the bay area are the amazing restaurants...Luka's definitely fills that void! Top quality food and service.

   From the staff to the food this was an amazing experience. The swordfish special was one of the best plates we ever have eaten. The desserts were extraordinary. It was out anniversary and the chef came out and said happy day and we spoke food and the restaurant with him. We will definitely be back!!

   Would definitely go back again, all in all yummy food. Steak arrived well done instead of med-rare. Expensive well done steak :(.

    This was our 7 year anniversary, the service was excellent and the food was fantastic. We had a table with an great view of downtown Jackson. My partner had the seafood pasta and I had the chicken penne pasta dish. Both were amazing. For dessert we had the pumpkin crème brûlée, so so good. We highly recommend Lukas.
