Lucca Osteria & Bar is the vision of chef and veteran restaurateur, Claudio Ulivieri and his partner Steven Hartenstein. Raised near the Italian city of Lucca, Claudio’s passion for food began. He brought this passion to the States, and started his culinary career as a chef. Now, after decades of creating menus and running restaurants, he and his partner have opened Lucca Osteria - tapping into his roots - to share his favorite rustic Italian flavors with you. Melvin was our server this and he was outstanding. We loved our meal and enjoyed our drinks. I will say our evening got off to a rough start when the hostess offered us a table at the end of the bar where the wait staff would be coming and going all evening. We had a reservation for 5pm and certainly didn’t expect a table in the bar. The next table offered was along the booth wall immediately next to another couple when all of the other tables in that row were open. She did then seat us further down along that wall. Disappointing and not welcoming in my opinion.

Lucca is a fantastic restaurant! The food, service and ambience is outstanding. I was surprised at the noise level as we were chatting with friends but it was the weekend so that’s understandable. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant. The lobster ravioli and pistachio key lime pie are to die for!!

Lucca is outstanding. Everyone at our table of 7 enjoyed their meal. We ordered everything from veal, to chicken and pasta along with appetizers and each dish was enjoyed! I highly recommend Lucca for a great meal.

Wonderful dinner here with girlfriends. Food, service and ambiance all excellent!! Some of the best Italian in all of Chicagoland!! Highly recommend!

Jose was our sever, such an amazing experience from food to the service. Spent my husband’s birthday and we’re all happy with what we ordered. Highly recommend this place if you’re celebrating something special!
