Loulou Petit Bistro is a cozy new French Bistro located on the corner of 19th Street and 8th Avenue in the heart of Chelsea. The gorgeous restaurant, which will be open Monday-Sunday is named after owner Mathias Van Leyden’s adorable rescue dog. The restaurant will serve French classics for lunch, brunch and dinner. The lower level speakeasy will feature an extensive cocktail menu with creative and classic cocktail options and lively atmosphere with music nightly.

Loulou features floor to ceiling windows allowing natural light in during the daytime and amusing people-watching at night. Exposed brick and hanging plants can be found throughout, complemented by eclectic interior decorations and art curated by Missy Papageorge. Comfortable booth and table seating for 70 can be found in the main dining room with additional bar seating for 20. Underground, the intimate speakeasy is perfect for entertaining groups of up to 80 guests.

Vibrant setting on 19th street with well spaced tables and dividers in a garden like street side setting. What a find. went this Sunday for brunch and already booked a table again for next Sunday. Food was outstanding and one of the more interesting cocktail menus around. Service could not have been better. Cant wait to try it out for dinner. 10 out of 10

The place was very busy, and even though we had a reservation and we were one minute late, they had trouble seating us. We waited about 20-25 minutes but the food was amazing and definitely worth it. It is also worth considering that it is very busy.

Very friendly place, fast service and LOVE the vibe! Make sure you check out the cocktails, they’re FUN and potent!!!but skip the steak frites, get the rib eye. More bang for your buck I promise!

The food was satisfying. However, when my party was seated by the hosts she told us "we need the table back by 7:15". We felt as if we had to rush to eat and it was rude. Our server was not helpful also gave us the impression he did not want to help us.
