Our first visit to this restaurant. We were looking for Soul Food and it came up on Open Table. The ambiance and environment is top notch, lot of seating options indoor/outdoor with a nice DJ/Music Vibe (R&B and Hip-Hop while we were there). The clientele was diverse and lively.....the music is loud though! On to the food - the menu has a brunch, lunch, larger course set up with several variations of fish, shrimp, chicken, crawfish and even aligator bites. We decided to go with the Shrimp and Grits and the Fried Catfish over rice with a creole sauce. It was supposed to have crawfish, but the lil pieces were negligible. Both dishes were very good, but this place is pricey!!!! Two dishes and two lemonades plus tip was $84 bucks for lunch......so I'm thinking this one is a special occasion. The service was great, our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. The food was prepared quickly and there are tons of distractions to make the time go by faster. I wouldn't go here hungry or in a big group that is going to be splitting the bill....whew it was pricey for what you got! Oh, and parking took 20 minutes to find 3 blocks away on a Sunday at 12 noon....I couldn't even imagine trying to park when it's busy.

I used to really like this place but this time I was a bit disappointed. The food was soaked in grease and literally had to drain the grease off our plates before eating. The alligator cheesecake was amazing thou, but I think I may not go back considering the amount of grease the Rasta Pasta and Mac and cheese contained.

Limited menu for non meat eaters. No salads or healthy food options. Wooden benches are not comfortable, need padding. Music was too loud for our taste. Restaurant is mostly outdoors with heat lamps. Indoors is a bit warmer but doors are wide open. Perhaps if we were in our 20s to40s we would have enjoyed it more.

Service here is always amazing. Food was good, they did add a bit too much spice where it wasn’t edible. Got the Rasta pasta, garlic bread, fried catfish, mac and cheese, greens, dirty rice, and yams. It is a little pricey. It’s 40 dollars for one piece of fried catfish and two sides. The parking is rough. I like this place for its vibes and drinks. The food is hit and miss…

I really enjoyed the food. Hostess wasn’t very friendly and felt like it was trouble for her to be asked to do her job. However, she did do what was asked even if it’s done with an attitude. The waiters were amazing and kind and the food didn’t take too long. Best creole food I’ve had next to home cooked meals. Well done chef! Tip: You should place an aesthetic visual on the walls that are blocking the outdoor to the inside bar.

Not authentic LA food. Had three crawfish tails on the wings and minimal gator in the cheesecake. If you from the south, don’t go here.

Very loud. Food was under seasoned and cold upon serving. Entrees didn’t arrive at the same time had to wait 5-10 minutes for my guests meal. We ordered 3 itmes and got 1 drink and the bill was 90. Insane. Never go here again

The food was amazing but the whole experience felt rushed because the kitchen was closing, our reservation was at 7:30. Our dessert came out as we were still eating out main entrees. They began clearing dessert plates while people were still eating. Wish we had been notified that the kitchen was closing at a certain time and we could have moved our reservation up or tried another day!
