   The food is outstanding and The Brown is one of my favorite places. We went there to see the decorations that used to be over the top and was a little disappointed when it was basically just a Christmas tree. But the thing that will make me not return This winter is that they did not have the heat on, I had to ask them to turn the heat on and the place was like a refrigerator. They were really nice about turning the heat on and I said why at the level of a hotel that The Brown is would you not turn your heat on in 20° weather. Anyway. Nobody does food better and the architecture is great but nit very Xmasy this year and too cold.

   Unfortunately, we had a maintenance issue last night associated with our boiler that left us without heat. We have since resolved the issue and brought heat back on for the building. I apologize for the timing and the inconvenience to you on your night out to dine with us. Part of the charm of the hotel is that vaulted lobby space with all the marble and original windows. The downside to that lovely space, is that it can be hard to trap the heat in, especially when we have a maintenance issue. The Brown Hotel is dedicated to making a stay here special for all our guests, we are continuously investing in equipment and services to guarantee the quality of the experience you receive here. Please come and see us again soon, and let us know how we can get some more holiday cheer going.

   One of the best meals my wife and I have had. Beautiful classic hotel lobby bar and restaurant with lovely piano music that was in no way intrusive. We could easily have a relaxed quiet conversation (rare in restaurants today.) Wonderful food and wine and the chef came out to greet and speak with everyone. Highly recommended.

   A first class experience in the historic Brown Hotel. The food was excellent all the way from the Burger to the sea scallops. The service was great and very responsive to our needs. We had a wonderful dining experience and would go back again.

   We visit Louisville a couple times a year. The Brown Hotel is on itinerary every visit. The staff is amazing and go above and beyond to make the experience great.

   We.are semi a frequent visitors, usually after events at the nearby Palace and Brown theaters. The drinks, food, and service are unfailingly excellent.

   We went there to have the Hot Brown and it was ok, I am not disappointed in it. The service was terrible and the “Derby Pie” that they raved about and said made by local bakery and best in the state…. Well it was the smallest piece of pie I’ve ever had in my life and no flavor. We brought it to our servers attention and he agreed and they still did nothing about it. My homemade Kentucky Derby pie is so better!

   A must for fine dining in a classic metropolitan setting, especially over the holidays. We started with the farmers salad. My partners go to is the signature Hot Brown in their petite portion. I enjoyed the Rack of lamb. The food was excellent as always and served by our favorite waiter Rob. Be sure to ask for the Old English grill dining room if you prefer a more quiet atmosphere. The Lobby/Bar dining area can be a bit loud at times.

    The Original Hot Brown for which Louisville , and particularly The Brown Hotel is known was outstanding. No other rendition compares. Service was above and beyond.
