Little Bull is sincere, nostalgic comfort food, inspired by the palates of first-generation immigrant kids.

Pocho cuisine is not a gimmick. Like Oscar, it’s a little bull-headed, but with no bullshit. It means more than loaded terms like “New American” or “modern Mexican.” And it’s authentic to Chef’s personal experience.

“American food is undefined. But it’s been designated to certain ideas and people. It’s actually evolving, as much as our landscape is a melting pot. As much as my own identity as a first-generation American and chef.”

Pocho started as a term used by people in Mexico to poke fun at the “American” kids who speak Spanglish. At Little Bull, pocho cuisine showcases the evolution of being a chef in America, inspired by every immigrant and their growing influence on our food.

The staff was very nice and my witness was very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was good but this is tapas style so you need 3 to 4 plates unless you order a meal sized entrée

I was very disappointed in my experience. Biggest issue is the fish - it is not written anywhere on the menu that the fish is raw. We ordered scallops and they came out raw. Gross. This needs to be made more clear, but also - why would we ever assume they wouldn’t be cooked? The servings were also small for how expensive the food was. We also ordered 2 more sides and a main dish. I felt it was all just mediocre for how expensive it was.

Everything was delicious! We tried the octopus, ceviche, choripán, capirotada, and a margarita. Fabulous, we will be back soon.

The food was fantastic - we loved everything, and even though it was small plate servings, it was wonderful and rich and filling. Our server was awesome, and gave us lots of great suggestions. We will be back! It was noisy, and the music made it a little hard to talk casually, but Little Bull made up for all of that with the fantastic dishes we got to enjoy. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Little Bull is Durham‘s best Secret… Or it used to be! If you have been sleeping on this restaurant, you are missing out! Honestly, some of the most amazingly crafted cuisine in the triangle. Great service, cocktail program. Pro tip… The ceviche is amazing

Restaurant was amazing! Some of the food wasn't my favorite, but that's my own opinion and does not reflect the quality of the food which was top notch. Tempura shrimp was sooo good however! Loved the feel of the restaurant and the staff was very helpful.

Our party of 4 shared appetizers: crudo, hand roll, brussels sprouts, broccolini, grilled shrimp, birria dumplinsg and barbacoa. All of the dishes were so flavorful, and each of us had a different favorite, though the shrimp was a standout. Our food was coursed nicely, 2 or 3 dishes at a time. Yje service was cheerful and seamless. I had the churros for dessert. Light as a cloud! The place got a little noisy by the time we left (7PM) but we could still converse comfortably. Easily one of the very best restaurants in Durham!
