   For a restaurant that is supposed to feel Italian, it was a little sub-par. The service was good, but the food was okay - nothing to rave about or run back to. In an Italian restaurant, I like to feel an Italian vibe, which comes from the employees speaking Italian and more, which this restaurant lacked all around. It's a great spot to catch a meal before the opera, but don't expect to be blown away and overly impressed.

   In the expensive side, but good value. Portions are ample, food is excellent. Good wines by the glass. Excellent service. Tables are well spaced.

   Our first pre-opera dinner at Lincoln Ristorante and it was truly great in all ways. Seated promptly at 5:15 pm in order to easily make the 7:30 pm show. Attentive and knowledgeable server who explained the various specials and standard menu courses. Housemade pastas were all outstanding and made from Italian flour (90%) and one can appreciate the difference! We started with the potato and caviar appetizer, then the spaghetti with crab and vegetarian pasta special with kale and Swiss chard finished with an aged balsamic. All outstanding. We finished with the ricotta cheesecake and gelato topped with espresso. Highly recommend for anyone going to a Lincoln Center event for the quality of the meal and experience and the convenience to making your event without the stress of time. We will definitely be back,

   Setting is gorgeous overlooking Lincoln Center courtyard and Julliard. Architecture and room is beautiful. Food is good but portions are small — and we are a thin healthy family who don’t supersize. We went for a regular dinner expecting to spend $50-$60 per head. After drinks — 6, my husband and 3 cocktails and a beer total and kids had one mocktail each, 2 appetizers shared across the 4 of us, 3 pasta dishes and a steak, the bill ended up being about $400 for the 4 of us including 20% tip. Ouch. That was not expected.

    A bit disappointed in menu and quality of food compared to previous experiences here. The only seafood options had shellfish--no fish only fish--and then one was sold out at 8:00 on Saturday night. Only viable option (I'm a pescatarian) was spaghetti with crab. It was delicious but tepid, and I was trying not to eat carbs, so kind of frustrating. Desserts were just meh yet very $$$. Service gracious but very inconsistent. Long waits to have wine refilled. Ambience is always nice, views pretty.
