Red beans and rice were good; jambalaya was so so. Fried catfish was good but the portions weren’t overly generous. Hush puppies were good. Nice to find Louisiana food here in Austin but not worth a special trip.

Service, location, and vibe was great. The food was a mixed experience. The fish was unfortunately very fishy-tasting, which might be a sign of less-than-fresh quality. The shrimp was also disappointing; it was small and didn’t feel worth the price. On the bright side, the fries were fantastic—crispy, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor. They were definitely the highlight of the meal! The coleslaw fell flat; it was bland and didn’t bring the fresh, tangy contrast I was hoping for. Overall, the meal had its ups and downs. Have a cocktail and fries and enjoy the stellar service and fun vibes!

We were really looking forward to this lunch that we had made a reservation for awhile back as we had heard a lot of great things about your restaurant so we invited our friends to come with us that had never been either. When we walked in We got greeted awesomely by the host and our waiter was very polite & friendly. We probably ordered Every appetizer on the menu. They were either really good or really bad. We had a pretty bad incident with oysters where we ended up sending back several trays of them because they were very shall I say pungent dry flat with a black ring around the edge of the cold water oysters that we ordered and they 100% did not smell like a GOOD oyster. IF THEY smell Like that they should never be served It was very concerning. Instead of getting up and leaving the restaurant like we probably should have when we were served bad seafood. We actually stayed because of our waiter was phenomenal. He tried to talk us into trying the grilled ones which we did and they were pretty good they were just absolutely saturated in butter so we were hoping that we weren’t going to get sick from them as well 😬 So oysters at this restaurant I would say that there are much better restaurants and safe places (sorry Lil Easy) to Have oysters in Austin at but as far as the ambience, the staff and the chicken gumbo and the fried fish all of those were delicious and it was a fun atmosphere, but if you’re going to serve oysters, you better make sure that you know how to serve them so you keep your restaurant open because if you were to get someone sick, it would be really bad for your Business! Also, the cocktails were delicious. We did enjoy them, and we even tried your new cocktail, which was a pumpkin spice on top of a drink called the painkiller with pumpkin spice on top.

I came in for my bday dinner and ordered my way through the entire menu! I felt very taken care of by Erica and by another gentleman (I remember his name started with a K). They were attentive and helpful, the food was delicious. I'll come often! - Timothy
