   My mom and I LOVED dining here! The vibe and ambience was homey and eclectic, the live singer (Coco Watson) was amazeballs, and the fooooooood - the food deserves its own paragraph. We got the whipped goat cheese with black garlic honey and chapati bread and the watermelon jicama salad to start - both were stunning. I practically licked the bowl the goat cheese came in. And then the entrees blew our minds. The oxtail barbacoa melted off the bone and right into your mouth with all the flavor in the world, and it paired gorgeously with the homemade mac and cheese it was served with. And the duck tajine might have been the most delicious preparation of duck I’ve ever tasted - perfectly cooked, full of flavor and fun vegetables (I LOVE SUNCHOKES!). Finally, the New Year’s special dessert was a Caribbean Black Cake served with a mini coquito - PERFECTION. Overall a *chef’s kiss* restaurant experience. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!

   our first visit to the restaurant. the hostess made sure we got a table for three inside the main room. the food was excellent. i especially liked the perfectly cooked and well spiced duck tagine. the portions were generous. The weight staff were excellent and pleasant and brought our food on time. We plan to return at the first opportunity. this is an incredible restaurant

   Latha is amazing!! The food and dessert was great. The service was even better. Everyone was friendly and attentive. There was also live music and an awesome shop inside the restaurant.

   We arrived the host assisted me up the stairs a complete gentleman. We began inside and decided we wanted to be outside. And we were accommodated, we were relocated to a lovely table. There was a beautiful and talented violinist playing, he played so wonderfully. All ambients were warm and inviting. Dinner was mouthwatering it was an amazing experience.

   Truly a special journey! Latha is just wonderful - from the amazing flavors to the ambiance, design and impeccable service -- I would make it a "must once a month" visit!

   I visited for dinner with friends during their Vibe music event as a late birthday dinner. The performance was great! We all opted for the $60 multi course meal and added drinks. I enjoyed the whipped goat cheese appetizer a lot. It was fresh and creamy and I would have it again. My salmon entree was very delayed as their was an unknown issue with the first dish. When they brought the salmon out, it was cooked to the correct temp, but the dish overall lacked flavor, which was surprising. My friends said the oxtails and awaze chicken were great but I didn’t have any. I ordered the passionfruit caipirinha drink that was so strong it was inedible. Which says a lot because Im a whiskey girl who loves machaca. I would have ordered a straight shot or double had I known. We all decided to take the dessert to go. But the southern pound cake with whipped topping was delicious! I don’t have much of a sweet tooth but I really enjoyed that as well. I would go back to try other dishes.

    I have been wanting to have a meal at Latha for some time, and this past Thursday was the night. Latha is the Swahili word that means flavor and that is what you get from the Uncle Old Fashioned (made with Uncle Nearest 1884 and Brown Sugar) to the Whipped Goat Cheese with black garlic honey and sumac to the burnt onion hummus served with chapati and the watermelon feta salad with awaze honey vinegarette and the oxtail pimento cheese grilled cheese. ALL FLAVOR! If you are in the Phoenix area, or plan to be, I would highly recommend making a reservation at Latha.
