Lapeer is a chef inspired Steak and Seafood concept with a boutique coastal vibe setting located in the heart of the Historic downtown Alpharetta.

The menu will include premium cuts of beef including prime, certified Angus, America Wagyu and reserved dry aged steaks. Our seasonal approach will have a mixture of classic, yet innovative creations as well as some steakhouse staples. We source our fresh seafood and day boat fish from the gulf and east coast and offer a regular rotating selection of fresh oysters.

A well balanced by the glass list with a focus on new world varietals. An extensive reserve list driven by full bodied California cabs and red blends, backed with a solid mix of old world Italian and French varietals.

We here at Lapeer are excited to serve our community. We invite you to Lapeer Steak & Seafood where we are committed to offering class, quality , good service and style to meet your expectations at the highest level.

We had an outstanding server—I wish I could remember his name (he had dark hair and glasses)—but he was GREAT. Unfortunately, aside from that, we were rather unimpressed with Lapeer. We've dined at many nice restaurants and steakhouses, but Lapeer just didn’t measure up. The steak was cooked perfectly but was rather bland. The mac and cheese’s shell noodles weren’t cooked properly; they weren’t even al dente—they just weren’t done. The broccolini portion was generous, but I was disappointed to find it was flash-fried. Overall, given the high cost and the availability of better value elsewhere, I’m not sure we’ll give Lapeer another shot.

Our waitress was outstanding (sorry that I can't remember her name-tall, glasses, dark hair, well-informed, super conscientious). Food ranges from good to excellent (seafood tower, carpaccio, filet, tuna dinner, broccolini, mushrooms, wine and old fashioned-very well-prepared). Very, very noisy. Back room, a little better than the front room. Premium priced (my informed perspective, beyond similar). Parking is a challenge on busy evenings. I'll go again, but unlikely to be in heavy rotation when entertaining or family outings.

Good great, service great, bar drinks were slow, charging for an ice cube is ridiculous, was super loud and could barely talk to my wife across the table. We asked for another table and were denied even though there were open ones. Won’t be back which is sad because the food was good. Recommendations to their management, stop charging for an ice cube and make accommodation’s for patrons seeking a better dinner environment. For the money spent I was not happy.

Great food, atmosphere and service were excellent. Noise level in the main dining area was high. Fortunately, we were seated in a smaller area where we could hear each other.

Extremely over priced. Salmon lacked in flavor. Drinks over priced. I will say the frozen espresso martini was delicious. Oyster happy hour was great. 3 cocktails and split a salmon and it was $100. Server added 20% gratuity to party of 5. Not sure if that’s restaurant policy but that’s ridiculous.

Lapeer starts strong: warm ambiance, attentive server, promising appetizers. But the $99 porterhouse, ordered medium-rare, arrived medium-well—a big miss for a top-dollar steakhouse. When I pointed it out, the general manager’s response was dismissive, bordering on combative, insisting it was cooked correctly. A simple offer to remake the dish would have sufficed, but the rigid stance soured the experience. Attempted reconciliation came in the form of to-go cocktails, a puzzling gesture as we were leaving. Lapeer has the bones of a good spot, but for those expecting stellar service with high prices, be prepared to be disappointed

The server was wanting to take off work early. No follow-up and seemed bothered when I had to remind others to service and follow up. We are not demanding in any way and we’re not rushed. But there was no attention after the first engagement asking if we wanted water.

Noisy as can be, quant Natico-chic sort of vide. Great service. For an $80 steak, me expectations are to not be sitting top of my dining neighbors table, a bit if ambiance and a level of noise that allows me to hold a conversation with my dining companion. Failed on all counts. Food was reasonably good, but certainly not exemplary. Service was a bit above adequate, the cooks did catch my overcooked steak and had to retry before sending it out, so it took longer than expected, and oddly the main course came out, then 5 minutes later one of the side dishes, and then another 5 for the other side. In a nutshell, noisy, disorganized, not priced on par with the experience.
