At Landscape Restaurant & Grill, right in the heart of Hobart’s Hunter Street waterfront precinct, we create an unforgettable dining experience.

The heart of our kitchen lies in the coals of our Asado grill. Here, our experienced team, led by Head Chef Nathaniel Embrey, sear aged local wagyu, tender Tasmanian lamb, freshly caught seafood and other premium ingredients, creating masterful dishes of unrivaled flavour. Adding to the unique quality of our dishes is the distinctive environment in which they’re served – the historic walls of the original IXL Jam Factory, surrounded by the iconic landscape art of John Glover.

    As usual, a lovely experience. Our waiter, Thibault, was charming and the sommelier also very helpful. The duck fat potatoes are incredible. The only improvements would be a couple more vegetarian based options. I had steak which was lovely but I do prefer vegetable based dishes. The side dishes are wonderful, plus the apple tart. The wines by the glass haven’t altered in a year so I think they could offer a couple of new wines by the glass which would be appreciated by the patrons.

    Very impressive. The restaurant is soo nice. I forgot to take pics of the place but we were soo impressed with the presentation the restaurant. Very high class ! Service was very good. Though if I’m really critical we asked for our oysters (with pancetta and garlic) to be really cooked as we aren’t a fan of raw oysters and he noted ‘… oh no they are really cooked through…’ sadly no. They we warmed at best and my wife was put off . Bad start. However after this mishap it was all very impressive !!! The somm recommended a fantastic merlot. It was his personal fav and quickly became one of mine too. We both had eye fillet and it was the best we’ve had in some time. Overall we’d def go back.

    An excellent dining experience. Great locally Tasmanian choices on the menu combined with Glover Prize winning art as a backdrop, what could be better to showcase Tasmania to our overseas guest. Staff were highly professional also.

    Really amazing food. Had the buffalo cheese and rice crusted calamari and 2of each kind of their oysters to start, the fish n pork chop mains w duck fat potatoes side. One of the best taste experience. Such unique flavors and combination of ingredients. Had a beer, a dessert wine and an apple pie type dessert to finish and the bill came to about AUD250 before taxes. 2 adults and a child so feels quite good value. Our server Cliff was really good and attentive too. Highly recommend it.
