   We loved the food and the service. It was kinda loud as the acoustics are not geared to quiet conversation. When the crowd thinned a bit, the noise level went down. One of the better things about high end places is generally the noise is less. I want to be able to enjoy my company.

   Made reservations through Open table for 5:15 pm and was seated immediately. Ambiance was nice and dimly light for an intimate setting. Garlic bread was complimentary and was soaked in garlic butter. We ordered the soup of the day which was broccolini. Not thick and not too watery. Tasted good but needed a bit more seasoning which I did by adding some pepper to it. Wife had the mushroom Ravioli which I tried and had a chocolatey taste to it. Pretty good but I noticed that it can get cold quick If not eaten soon after getting it. I had the chicken parmagiana that consisted of 2 chicken breasts breaded with tomato sauce, mozzarella and a sjde of asparagus and polenta. It was okay. Nothing special about it and felt like it was a bit bland. For Christmas dinner, it was an okay meal but nothing too memorable for us to want to go back in the future. Not the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to.

   It was my birthday, I picked it because we had gone there in the past and it was good. Having a birthday on Christmas and finding a decent restaurant can be difficult. We were seated in a room that had a very large group with a leader which had a leader who had to speak very loud to the group. While I think it was nice they were able to have a dinner together. I did not like being so close that I could listen to the leader give them instructions on their dinner! It was cold in the room we sat and I had to keep my coat on the entire dinner. I would have worn different clothes if I had know the climate was too cold. Our server was fine she did a nice job taking care of of us. AND she did bring me a dessert with a candle in it at the end of the meal. They had a decent selection of wine by the glass bit it was expensive. I had a super Tuscan and my husband had an old fashion which he did not enjoy. He did not finish it. He makes his own at home and they are much better. Fooo: We had the fried artichokes as an appetizer, we both enjoyed those. My husband had the famous house made ravioli and they were okay but he would not order them again. I had the fettuccini Alfredo and it was not up to my taste. I make this dish at home and it is much better. I would not order that again. We both had salads and they were just salads. This was a very overpriced meal for two pasta dishes, two salads and two drinks. 133.00 before tip. We have several non casino Italian restaurants in Reno but they are not open on Christmas. L La Strada is off my list as far as I am concerned. But I am sure there are people who love it! But I am no loner one of them.

   This was our 14th year coming to Lastrada on Christmas Eve. It has become a family tradition. As always, you did not disappoint. “Tucci” was welcoming and so energetic upon our arrival. What a great front person to have! And our server, Lia was fantastic. The food was amazing, the ambience was great. Love sitting in the back by the wine rack. Truly makes the whole experience! Thank you all for working so hard every single time we are there, and I’m sure every time we are not there. Definitely a Reno gem!! See you soon.

    Very nice quiet family Christmas Eve dinner. Everything was great a little light on the value side though. Love the way the restaurant is broken up to allow a more intimate experience ad limit noise.
