I used to go to La Serre when they were open in Downtown and it was my favorite breakfast spot. However, I was utterly disappointed with this new one in City Walk. The food & service was below average. Staff looked lost and couldn’t get an order correctly. The Ice latte was below average and our breakfast items looked poor in terms of presentation and taste. My friend’s avocado toast came on a plain plate that was smaller than the actual toast (it was not even the appropriate plate to serve). The taste of my Avocado Benedict was below average and no effort was done in the presentation. It was very disappointing and sad to see La Serre like this after all these years of waiting for them to reopen.

Reopened back but some items it’s not there in the menu I think they need more time to get everything there overall food is excellent I can say 8/10

We had the scrambled eggs with truffle. Eggs were not consistent, flavor is very neutral. Can be much better. Pain au chocolat was delicious, although it could have more chocolate inside to cover most of the croissant. Service and welcome were perfect. Place is pleasant. Thanks

I booked a table for three people, but it took a long time for them to find us a spot. They told me we were late and offered a table outside. I waited 20 minutes just for the menu. After I spoke with the manager, they finally came to take our order, but they made mistakes with our food, bringing dishes meant for another table. The food was average, and the bill was too high for the experience we had.

Food and service not up to the standard of ‘old’ la Serre - truffle eggs were very disappointing (eggs separating, not seasoned or silky) as was the eggs florentine - the sauce (not even clear what this was meant to be) was devoid of flavour and insipid. It took 20 mins to take initial orders, despite many staff running around “eyes low”seemingly achieving nothing but cleaning empty tables, ignoring service obligations and generally irritating the many still waiting to be served. Hopeful this is opening ‘teething’ issues only but drastic kitchen and service improvements required to meet the expectations of the brand.
