   The food was marvellous - we had 2 courses each. Didn't fancy the dumpling veggie starter so had bread and butter. Friend had scallops and duck which she liked. My cauliflower steak was good, with chips on the side and a couple glasses of Shiraz. Lovely service, but the restaurant is quiet - 3 tables occupied for lunch. I think it has something to do with the decor which is tired, old fashioned - in contrast to the food. The waiter said they are planning to update it, and I would say get on with it, because the exterior is appealing and so is the food, but the decor lets it down. Spotless loos, always a plus.

   Very good value and a good range of options to choose from, although some of the items were unavailable. The service was pretty good although we did have to find the maitre d’ when we arrived as he wasn’t at the front of house. Quality of the cooking was high and it is just a shame that the restaurant was very quiet with only a couple of other tables full.

   If you are looking for a nice quiet dinner, this is an ideal venue. Indo-French was an interesting mix. Good variety of starters and main courses. There is also a tasting menu to choose as well. Service was very good and attentive. Tables are nicely spaced out, so as to not intrude. Food was good. We had a pleasant dinner, but the food was a little above average.

   I hadn’t been to my favourite gem restaurant for too long, and it was a delight to be back this week. Exquisite monkfish, exemplary service and s charming evening overall. I do miss the lovely yellow decor, but still a beautiful setting.

   Had a good lunch - set menu good value. Mussels a little salty but v tasty. Ambience needs some work. Service excellent. Would recommend.

   The food, service and overall experience was excellent. The staff were helpful, attentive but not intrusive.

   Unfortunately the meal was under par, the chicken was dry, the lamb was salty and chewy, the starters was not very tasty, however the wine were chose was very nice. The main meal was removed from the final bill as this was not touched. Unfortunately this was not what we expected given recent reviews.

    Another terrific experience at La Petite Brasserie. This was our 4th visit and the food has always been great. However, service had been a problem on our first three visits due to a friendly but inexperienced staff. Happy to say that they have addressed that problem and the service was up to the level of the food on last week’s visit. Can’t wait for visit #5!
