the quality of food has gone down over this year, food is not fresh, the mussels are small and not what they used to be; Tuna in Salade Nicoise, from frozen section.... All in all it is sad what has become and The Grand Boucherie is no longer 'Grand"

Service and ambience was very good. We went to the bar for a quick drink prior to dinner. The bar experience was great. The quality of dinner preparation was disappointing, frankly. It was a good start with French Onion soup that was excellent. But main course of Salmon that was very dry and over cooked and coq au vin that was very dry for this dish and also over cooked. The beef Bourgogne was good but not spectacular and the chunks of beef were quite fatty. Overall it was disappointing and not consistent with prior reviews.

Ambience was awesome and service was excellent. Food was ok and what you would expect for a restaurant near the Theater District.

Much too loud plus piped in music, which made conversation difficult. Filet mignon was a bit tough but the onion soup and profiteroles outstanding.

Really beautiful Art Nouveau designed restaurant. With very good but not fussy French bistro food.

Just my opinion, you might love it, terrific architecture, world class, really worth a long trip and a visit to see, like Machu Pichu, pardon spelling, but very noisy with a clientele that looked pretty much tourist. Long line to the desk, but it moved very fast. The STAFF looked excellent! But my friends and I see each other only rarely, and too loud for much conversation there, so we left. I’d say go early at an off time and marvel at the astounding architecture. It’s too bad; were it quieter, the food and service looked excellent, top drawer, world class, especially the meat cuts on display. If I can plug another place here, we went to Majorelle, no R, in a hotel, expensive!, perfect small not that well known dressy French restaurant. No reflections at all on Boucherie, but for what we wanted, Majorelle was perfect. Go there for the perfect big event. Like a proposal! Dress up. Speak softly. She’ll say yes!
